Really great playing from each side. Innovation did awesome job in first 3 games not a single mistake really. You could also say that Soulkey played pretty bad at some points like having bad engagements with half of his roach hydra at other side of map and losing other half to innovations army. But Innovations play was really great overall.
Turning point was those well done all ins could have been so much easier to hold them if he had siege tanks but oh well.. Also i don't think it was really good idea to proxy in Akilon. Soulkey constantly, after the first game, scouted well and innovation should have known that because players check the replay after games.
Overall both players played really well! I'm not big fan of either of them but they really put up great games, best finals yet in 2013. Can't wait to see Innovation next season

soulkey was better today.

I was at the finals today and watched Innovation lose, it breaks my heart cause he looked so confident in the booth, before the game. But even as muta grew out of control, I still believed that somehow Innovation could win with some last push
He'll be back, and hungrier than ever.

^^^ This.
Innovation still seems to get better every day and I think this trend will continue as long as he stays motivated. I just hope it's not like MKP 2.0.

Amazing choke job by innovation.

If Innovation just played straight up macro every game, with no hellbat drop opening or any cheese, I do not think Soulkey stood a chance. The better player did not win in my opinion.
And that last game...he was shaken up and threw it. He had seen the mutas with the viking, yet he sent a triple drop in the same direction. Big mistake and it cost him the game.
It's sad. Even after slaying the best Protoss, Zerg, and 2nd best Terran as well other noteworthy players, he couldn't take the GSL title. I really hope Innovation plays less risky in the future and takes the next championship.

meh i disagree, he took games 2 and 3 with hellion drops. The two pure macro builds he tried on game 4 and 5 were easy wins for Soulkey

his hellbats did very little in game 2 and if I remember correctly there were none in game 3.

WCS Season 1 Finals Groups are out
+ Show Spoiler +
we will learn fairly quickly if the loss to soulkey changed anything up in his TvZ. he'd win in a macro game, probably, it's just being greedy sometimes and getting caught by all-in/early aggression and not being able to get there that is the problem.

That group is just going to be 3 zergs desperately trying to cheese Innovation with roach-baneling timings.

hopefully for Innovation, no zerg outta here can execute such perfect timing attack that soulkey did

Innovation played with godlike amounts of greed. His scouting and reactions will be better this WCS I feel. He'll make a siege tank again hopefully
