It kind of just felt like standard foreigner greed collapsing to Korean aggression. It's like G1 and G2 were just slightly over macro in dead because soO hit the precise time when the greed would kill Scarlett. I think, despite the score, the games were a lot closer. Scarlett was really close in G1 and G2, but it was some poor macro decisions that cost those games.

Game 2 she went behind because of poor macro decisions but lost because she literally ate every bile she possibly could. Not sure how you came to your conclusion there.

Another ZvZ series that I really wish I could take all weekend to sit down and study like I used to in WoL and HotS.

Not sure how you came to your conclusion there. At that point Scarlett was already dead. Biles make a difference, but it helps when the roach/ravager numbers are close. EDIT: On March 09 2018 19:21 blunderfulguy wrote: G1 and G2 were super close (*compared to everyone else saying they weren't close at all). Artosis or Tasteless said something along the lines of "just a couple of Drones and a few Lings now (in the first few minutes) doesn't matter all that much", but there's always a massive butterfly effect with every lost Ling, Bane, Drone, Queen, Overlord in ZvZ. Yeah, for sure, just a few drones instead of attacking units makes a massive difference, but I feel like the first two games came down basically to a decision not to make attacking units versus trying to build drones.

Keep fighting =] Except it's that roller coaster from the Simpsons that suddenly breaks hard and slams your teeth into the railing. Occasionally a painful ride. Perhaps too negative though. I'm excited to see what she can do at Super Tournament and Season 2, hopefully she can re-prove herself enough for us haters on TL. WESG in a few days, too, so that should be fun

Losing to soO is fine. It's ZvZ and it's soO. Here's soO's 2017: GSL Season 1: 2nd GSL Season 2: 2nd GSL vs the World: 3-4th WCS Global Finals: 2nd If you include more GSLs, he's gotten second place six times. If you meet him before the final, you will most likely lose. =P I was hoping for a few longer games, but that's ZvZ. A Bo5 can be over pretty fast.

I think 2018 is going to go better for Scarlett than she or any of us might anticipate. Maybe that's just wishful thinking and pure shameless bias on my part, but I'm still feeling good about it.

A bit disappointing but there is always another day. WESG is coming up shortly, so hopefully she can rebound. The next GSL qualifiers is right after that, so there is ample opportunity.
