Who cares about how long they've been playing for. TY was a pro for 10 years before he won anything. Other players have won events only a couple years into their careers

The point was, if Scarlett isn't finding the success she wants right now. She can look for alternatives that might give her a better chance. If she thinks it's worthwhile to go for it then that's her choice
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

Scarlett's playing Sunday too which doesn't overlap with a Magic Open House I might be doing this weekend, neat.

and nestea has won 3 gsl when he was 27 and 28. Snute is 27, he is pro since 2011 and he was in two wcs finals in a row. These examples are nonsenses, you are not old at 24 if you are still motivated to win.

Those are not my stats, something somebody came up with 2 years ago.

I never said she was too old to be a good player she might be good for another 5 years. I just think it is a bit late in her career to change races. I love her as a Zerg.

Was Ty successful because he changed races?

Of course it is her choice.

FYI just watched some of Dark's stream and he was playing Protoss! His MMR was 6000+. I thought it was Zest streaming and it said Dark by mistake. It was Dark.

I knew Dark wasn;t the Zerg player when there was a Muta attack because he rarely uses them.

I wish I was tier one grand master with my 2nd best race.

Has Scarlett ever played in an online tournament as Protoss?

Plenty, but they been fairly minor tournaments if remember correctly.
Also I think most of them had a losers bracket so it had maybe been possible Scarlett had picked Zerg if tournament live was on the line.

I enjoy see Zerg more then Protoss myself but knowledge is a wonderfull thing, mix it up is a great learning experience.
No reason why can't have two options to play when can do it on this high level.

Even if Scarlett would for argument sake play 100% Protoss 2018 it wouldn't mean Zerg has been put into the bin, she could develop new ideas during 2018 and bring Zerg back in full force 2019 and maybe do better then ever before.

In short I just think it really nice broading the range and we all better waiting on the results of it then making bold predictions of what it means.

Well said. This is much like learning programming. The best software developers aren't those that are married to a programming language, but those who also tried other languages and learned other ways to solve the same problems.

What she's doing is actually smart - by learning protoss inside out and competing with it not only gives her more versatility, insight and makes her a better player, but also makes her rethink the way she plays zerg as well.

Its not really rocket science. Its something every pro in every field does, when they feel they've reached a plateau, they will try to approach the problem from different perspectives. In her case, other races. So one thing we could do on this fanclub, is whine less, question her decisions less and appreciate more.

All players practice as the others races some of the time for that insight and versatility. We were just talking about that. After Dark played as Protoss a while on stream he started practicing as Terran. Everybody does that!

This is not just about practicing at all. The Koreans are the experts in this and players in the old team house system are experts in one race and apply themselves toward one race only. Switching races is not common at all and Fango had to dig deep to just find a few examples and one of his examples was not a race switch at all. Gumiho went from no race(Random) to choosing a race and he has not switched since.

Switching races can be a sign of weakness. Firecake a French Zerg was the ultimate macro player in Hots. He was involved in some of the longest most epic games ever. When LOTV came out it hurt him as a player and in June 2016 he switched to Protoss, played in a couple of tournaments and then retired.

No it is not like learning a new programing language. We are talking about Starcraft at the absolute highest level.

You're still being absurd in your assertions here and if you must continue to ramble on about this could you at least take it to a different thread, please? Seriously, this got old several days ago.

Happy birthday to ous
I wasn't expecting more then see one match of Scarlett today, only now noticed it three (!)

Hope the "bracket" aint what it looks like tho, in that case everyone else gets atleast one break while Scarlett is listed in three matches in row.

So it is only old when I mention something about it? What intelligent input have you made to this conversation? Just being an ass is what you are doing.

I can respectfully disagree with anybody but you obviously cannot.

It's not absurd to to compare switching races in Starcraft to learning another computer language?
