I definitely agree Jaedong is very consistent. Although I wish he will somehow be able to break his streak of silvers and definitely place into gold... one day.

Can everyone stop feeling sorry for Jaedong? He placed 2nd in 5 of the top tournaments years and is play-style is clearly levels above almost every player in the game right now. Not only that, but I hope no one has forgotten that he already has 11 championships under his belt from BW. I bet his psychological block is actually just his guilt for wiping so many people off the board during his bonjwa years.

Jaedong's spirit, ethic is so insane. Such an inspiring player. Starting the year with the worst ZvP. Now beating Dear in Blizzcon. Then, lose 0-4 to two Terrans, Polt and Bomber. Favorite player of all time. The Tyrant is stopped this time but he will be back. He will grab many championships to come!!!

Honestly, that last game vs Maru, I felt that Jaedong was turning into the tyrant before my eyes. Those burrowed banelings, muta control picking off tanks, expanding all over the map, choking out Maru....

If he just learned how to avoid needing to almost go for the base trades, and improved his late game decision making...

I think that if Jaedong can maintain the level of play he showed us against Maru, then he will be the first SC2 bonjwa.

The more I watch Jaedong play, the more I realize he is nearing his final form. Most champions we see today will never win more than a single championship or two at most. They are lucky flukes in the chaotic environment that is the SC2 scene. Remember that it only took a hellbat nerf to blow innovation out of the water. Remember how easily Bomber loses in Ro32. Same goes for SoS - eventually he will be figured out and wont be a threat.
Jaedongs playstyle is not something that needs to be figured out though, he is just becoming closer and closer to being the perfect zerg. Soon Jaedong will be too much for the likes of them and there wont be any gold left for them to grab.

sOs brought some next level shit and top level mind games to the Grand Finals, and his win was well deserved. Jaedong I feel is much better in a stable meta game, and probably would have won against any other opponent in the finals judging from his games in the previous rounds, but a peaking sOs is exactly what can bring down Jaedong at any stage in the bracket. Jaedong will have his championship win eventually - he is still improving rapidly (both ZvT and ZvP weaknesses has been fixed it seems) and he has been amazingly consistent. Never Die Jaedong!

I would have like a TvZ final so much more. At least if JD had lost, I would have felt like the winner deserved his win. While sOs' play was smart and great I guess, I can't feel like protoss is outplaying other races, even if they actually do, but I guess it's just me or the race's mechanics. Hope someone shows this thread to JD and that he gets all the support he deserves. Being 2nd best in the world at something still is something to be awfully proud of!
