It was a dumb reaction by TY. He had a marine and pulled an SCV from his main, that's 100% enough to keep the SCV building the CC alive. The only reason to pull back the reaper is to guarantee the kill on the lings. That's too greedy against soO. Because soO is really not afraid of going all-in. Also he didn't go pool first in any game except the one he cheesed in. That should have been a tell for TY.

It's fine to go mech one game in a BO5 on the best mech map. Especially when you're up 2-0. He just didn't play the game out very well. Also mech and variations of it is pretty much all TY plays on stream.
And in the last game he made big 2 mistakes while soO made 0.

I kind of figured that he went for Mech just to be unpredictable a bit. But frankly, with how he planned out the group stage selection (evil genius really), I thought he would be more practical and just do anything to win. Like Inno said "I don't care about fun matches. I just want the prize money."
I'm super happy that soO moved on but I can't help it but feel bad for TY. He just can't win a Korean tier 1 tournament after being a progamer for so long. Always came very close but failed short. It gotta hurt.

So now he actually has competition for 1st place. I wonder how TY feels about playing jjakji since I assume jjakji used to be one of his main practice partners for all the great TvTs he's played in LotV.

yeah that's pretty unfortunate. Although I think we shouldn't think Stats is invincible PvT just because he beat INno. After all it could very well have been a 3-0 sweep by INno.

I'm just saying TY has competition now. I mean he kinda kicked Stats' ass in the Ro16 in GSL. Still, he went from "basically guaranteed 1st" to "any loss could mean getting 2nd or even 3rd".
With TY's horrible track record of always being in bad form and or getting sick at the start of tournaments outside of Korea I wouldn't be surprised at all if he doesn't get 1st now.

Stats will put up one hell of a fight is my prediction. After beating Inno he's got to feel like PvT is his game.
Also Neeb is no slouch in PvT either. TY will have to work for his place.

It's Neeb's worst match-up and he has no regular practice against anyone close to TY's level. Their last match was very one-sided.
Of course, that's assuming TY actually shows up in good condition.

I think he got distracted for a moment and because he was so tired he didn't realize he didn't shift-click the medivacs to safety and was too slow to do anything about it.

Well he'll play a 2nd place finisher in the Ro12. So far we only know Ryung. And then it's also a question of whether they draw the bracket, or have predetermined matches (e.g. A vs B, C vs D)

Absolutely. GuMiho is really good at TvT.
Granted TY when he's playing at his best is like the best TvT player, but he's not been totally at his best so far and GuMiho will have prepared for him. And GuMiho is in really good shape this tournament.
