i believe he actually said 1 year to code s, 1-2 more years to be at the level he was in broodwar. people severely underestimate the time and effort it takes to truly refine one's play and master all the intricacies involved in the game. if there is anyone who knows this the best, it's flash. nonetheless, he's exceeding his expectations of himself so far so let's hope he reaches his peak sooner as well

Yeah, the thing is, it's not like existing pros aren't practicing their asses off while Flash is playing SC2 catchup. The Kespa pros have to improve at a rate faster than their esf counterparts if they want to be the best.

experience has diminishing returns, like someone from another thread stated. put simply, a lot of the non-kespa players who have been playing the game for 3 years have already peaked in overall skill in sc2. kespa players like flash are still far from that point. hots has introduced new units whose use are still yet to be fully maximized, but that's just new strategies to be discovered for these peaked players. it doesn't concern overall skill in the game, or at least not that much anyway.

It's scary yet unexpected to see that flash already made the finals of that mlg. Unfortunately his persistence to keep using biomine and his laziness at scouting (he died to big baneling busts twice) were his downfalls IMO. I also noticed that flash seemed to float a lot of gas while life was better at keeping both his resources low. I know terrans in general float a lot of gas (except mech), but with the raven buff, hopefully terrans will have a good gas sink. I'm sure flash will figure out something to do with all his gas.
