I'm gonna quote KlondikeBar from the last page. KlondikeBar: You're in the Scarlett fanclub, we'll take any and every opportunity to tell you why she's awesome. 1. She's entirely self trained. No team help, no formal training, just her own developed skills. 2. She didn't just beat some random Koreans, she beat widely known Koreans and even went toe to toe with Oz. And beating Demuslim is no small feat either. (2-0) 3. She went on that run at her first tournament with all the nerves that come with that. I'm not sure if you're on this train but alot of people say that it is wrong that sometimes "lesser skilled" female players get into big teams and I don't realyl see why this is a problem. Of course it would be if there were as many girls as guys in the SC community but there isn't. If we want ESPORTS to get bigger we have to try to broaden the diversity of people that could get interested in the game. We should always try to get female players to be seen more because it will therefore lead to a broadening of the starcraft community and ESPORTS in general. I don't understand how you (not you, Kenpark, but people that are on this "train") guys can be against this. Don't hurt the elephant ffs. ^_^ Sorry for off-topic ramble but I think it shouldn't be too bad since this is Scarletts fanclub. Just to clarify, I still think it's iS. : ) | ||

I thought about slamming the report button on this, but instead: No. You could not be more wrong. I'm a massive fan girl about Scarlett because: She came out of almost no where (no team, not the famous practice partner of a pro), had some crazy games against some top level koreans and foriegners, which I watched live at which point I was won over, the fact that she is transgender and girl is almost of no weight, I must admit, when she declared that she was transgender, I felt like as a member of the TL LGBT mafia I should support her even more, but it wasn't a deciding factor. Oh and she seemed nice in her interview with hotbid :D -edit bit on the team talk: I really hope its one of the big foreign teams, iS wouldn't be bad as crazy moving is pretty good, but I kinda want digi to pick her up, since they could send her around the world to play with relative ease, which I imagine isn't as easy for teams like vile and iS. | ||

Or maybe it could be because she was one of the last 5 foreigners left in the IPL open bracket, beating well known and established players. The other 4 foreigners were Illusion, Huk, Sase, and Jinro, so she was certainly in good company. No small feat, since this open bracket was ridiculously tough, with some of the competitors saying that to advance from the open bracket is like playing in Code S. She had one of, if not THE most impressive open bracket run by an unknown player ever, and it was in one of the hardest open brackets ever. The fact that she performed as well as she did without having a team to support her is nothing short of astounding. | ||

I guess noone else is with me in the mTw conspiracy  Hopefully whatever team picks her up decks her out with some new equipment so she can stream. She'd be one of the few Zergs I'd watch when there are Protoss streaming. | ||

Dunno, for me it's more about a no-namer being sent to a tournament thanks to winning an online tourney. Said tournament being so ridiculously stacked in open bracket, old timers like TLO said it wasn't even funny. And then shaving games off of two major Koreans and beating one of really strong foreigners. The laptop thing is just like a delicious topping. I think the girl angle will properly kick in only after signing with the team _and_ strong results that can be written about in articles. We know girls can play on top level, numbers and image are problems there. FMLE is good for people who are willing to spend a lot of time screwing around with settings, and gets you more quality for the processor you have, but it can be a headache to set up. I, for example, am using DXtory, VHMultiCam, Virtual Audio Cables, and FMLE all in conjunction to do what XSplit does all by itself. edit: I guess DXtory does something that XSplit can't, but you can use DXtory as a source in XSplit anyway if you really want to avoid screen capture | ||

 .Unfortunately she stated that it was not a Korean team and was not a team that had been guessed before her post. Hence the poll I made with all the teams that I had seen mentioned after her one post but not before it. Regardless of who it is, hopefully they will get her some new equipment, give her some high-level practice partners, and send her to more tourneys to kick ass and take names. | ||
