I have no idea why people 6 pool barring ignorance. 7pool: 6 zerglings at ~2:30, 11/18 supply 6pool: 6 zerglings at ~2:15, 10/10 supply with overlord just starting basically, 6pool gets the first few lings out 15 seconds faster, but the followup is significantly different because you're supply blocked and you can follow up a 7pool faster with more lings or drones. As I said, 6pool is better vT because your primary concern is getting lings in before the Terran sniffs it out and walls, whereas against Protoss and Zerg it's better to have the followup zerglings faster.

Hmm, I think I'll have to test that for myself when I get home, 2:30 sounds awfully late (and yes, I was referring to starting the lings at 1:55 in my post and I realise that this guy is saying when the lings hatch). But I might be completely wrong as I haven't really checked the clock after starting my lings before. Brb 4-5 hours.

I said 2:30 because the 6th ling pops out a bit behind (like 5-10 seconds) the first 4 because you don't quite have the minerals. I guess maybe if you mineral boost it comes out slightly faster, I'm not sure.

It kinda sucks, the only two players I've ever gotten really into were Stephano and now Scarlett, but zerg is the only race I've never played really seriously. I'll be watching Scarlett replays of ZvT and partially be thinking "Oh I wonder how terran will try to deal with infestor/brood lord." But then Scarlett's too good and I dont get to find out.
