He likes to leave one probe on the map in order to drop an early pylon for 4 gate zealot pressure on maps with an open third. This is only for the possibility of 4 gate pressure if he senses that he can beat the roach flood. Fast zergling speed ought to take care of this; watch the side of the map parallel to the third base. He does 2 zealot 1 stalker pressure just enough to be a threat on maps with an open third. Fast zergling speed should deal with this. On Entombed Valley he will do a FFE expand, go up to 3 gates, and expand again. His +1 attack will finish around the time his walloff to the third begins. On Entombed Valley he has shown a preference for archon/HT/stalker/late mothership compositions while expanding all over the side of the map. However he has also transitioned into double robo colossus for a 5 colossus timing push that reaches the enemy base at 14:30 – 15:00. This timing push is pure stalker/colossi and is actually an all-in; VINES will not take a fourth at any time behind it. The tech transition after the third MUST be scouted by an overseer. When he secures a fourth base, VINES will start to build up a titanic gateway count so he can reinforce with mass stalkers in the late game. Hopefully Life knows about these and can exploit them. | ||
