From what I recall about VINES, he is very proficient at 6-8 gate all-ins. He doesn't like to take thirds too quickly and takes robo tech before templar all the time. In general his playstyle in the early-mid game varies between some sort of all-in and a slow standard macro game. VINES likes to end up with mass blink stalkers, 3-4 colossi, and a handful of HTs as his primary army. I feel like the match will boil down to scouting and the threat of early pressure. Life has uncommon ZvP in the sense that he takes fast gas to get quick zergling speed. He's very good at deflecting early pressure because he can snipe pylons and intercept forces with speedlings instead of waiting to cushion an attack. Combined with quick lair and double upgrades this leads to a late roach warren, hence why he loses a lot to 4 gate warp prism and sentry-immortal pushes. But if he can pull out some tricks (proxy hatch, slipping zerglings into the main, possibly an early roach bust) it will keep VINES honest and force the late game. | ||
