Hey, TB, long time fan here (does 1.5 years+ of video watching count ? )
Read that post on your subreddit, its sad to see you're even getting that form of negativity on here as well, I hope for the best for you, mate. And best of lucks with your health, it was pretty heartbreaking to read the notes paragraph about hearthstone and about your physical health.
Also, I had this question in my mind thats been bothering me for a bit as a mmo player. I was going to post it on subreddit or TL but i'd much rather get your opinion on this: + Show Spoiler +What do you think of free to play MMO games that restricts access to majority of content, only accessible by payments usually by cash? Do you think these are a better model than f2p or pay to play?
|
preface: I am not trying to offend you. And I genuinely am concerned.
If I may ask, what steps are you taking to fix your problems? What is your plan for treatment for your conditions? Do you think you can just 'dr phil' your problems away by telling yourself not to do them? Or do you think you need to address them more seriously by way of a professional?

gogo TB!! There is a lot of people out there that love you!!
I wish you the best!

The guy in a delicious swing of irony then claimed I was being defensive and followed up by calling me an "insufferable dimwit". Nobody is under attack as the poster claims.
So yeah safe to say we figured out what kind of person he was pretty quickly. He's not a fan. Fans don't insult the person they're a fan of, those are antifans. I don't think it's necessary to cater to antifans.
Also requesting the antifan activity be removed from the fanclub. The poster is obviously trying to start drama in here.
But WTF is a dimwit ?
EDIT : Oh i just read what your wrote on reddit three days ago. It was heartbreaking to read. I really hope you're going to get better. Best of luck to you.

Didnt know you had a fan club on TL.
I am longtime fan. Followed you since the "i suck at starcraft" videos. So please sign me up to TB's fan club.

Well TB, what you are doing for SC2 on all fronts is just awesome, and when I needed a game review I've always resorted to yours, because I like how you do them and I've never been disappointed by a game you recommended. I also like your personality, and your videos are entertaining to me on top of being informative. I've always liked your sc2 casting, and what you brought to the casts. I know people that also watch your hearthstone videos, and would never dream of criticizing your mistakes and whatnot, just because they don't watch them to see good play but to be entertained, and they are.
So as I pretty much never read reddit and I don't use it, I thought I would try and hope to give you what little support I can here, as you seem to browse TL quite a lot. Because people of course have the right to not like you, but they should not have the right (or will for that matter) to shit on you in any way possible, and take advantage of the fact that you are the kind of guy that will argue with them and get affected by what they say to push you to these ends.
You should feel rewarded for all the great things you do and the content you provide, but I suppose that the larger your public is, the larger the vocal toxic group grows and the harder it is to ignore them or to hear the other part of your public over them. So even though I'm not a fanboy per say, I thought it would be a good thing to express the appreciation I (and some of my friends for that matter) have for the things you do anyway. You are a great guy. Hope you'll get better, even though I know what bothers you will never end, because it is the way many people are on the internet.
Sorry for any awkward or clumsy use of english :<

Hey TB. I saw your video about you health on youtube.
I want to let you know that I'm really looking forward to new content, because I love your honest 'reviews' (yeah, i know you hate that word). But make no mistake. Take the time you need. No need to push yourself over the limit.
I wish you the very best in your recovery! Take care.

Congrats on beating cancer, TB! I'm really happy for you. Cheers.

Oh I'm really happy for you That great news GL for the future
(I still hate your team though, but well I hate 99% of the earth so ...)
|
Congrats, TB, for beating cancer. I used Axiom's flair until now as a sign of support. I'll probably change it now. But I know there are still many health issues remaining to fix as a result of this whole struggle, so my hope for speedy and full recovery still goes with you. Also, sorry for you quitting TL, but quitting any forum is usually not a bad thing. Best of luck, TB!

Savior of esports. This guy deserves a statue.

Bloody oath, what a brilliant show.
Stephano's run in particular brought some massive nostalgia, made me remember why I fell in love with him in 2011.

Savage Resurrection stalled at 54,000 units sold. TotalBiscuit does a nice 40 minute introduction to the game for people totally unfamiliar with it. 2 days later the game is at 63,000 units sold.
if IGN had done a full article and 30 minute video.. i wonder if Savage Resurrection sells 9,000 units in 2 days?
TB > IGN ?

Hah, just a few days ago there was an article on Gamasutra from one of the developers of Renowned Explorers on how their game was looking to be a flop for the first two months until TB's video almost singlehandedly saved it.
So yeah he's pretty awesome.
