This person is actually great for the community.
I already got many laughs out of her interactions.
Besides being model hawt, she probably is sweet and cuddly. We need more of these for e-sports.

As she said in one of the videos, this NASL thing is new to her and its what she is doing the next (few) month(s). Sure, when you don't have that huge background in gaming and stuff, you'll take these jobs as "jobs" and not as "living your dream and work with passion for it". I think she was kinda overwhelmed with the reactions she got after her interviews. She probably didn't expect them, cause she didn't really know how the community is like, how "unforgiving" the community is sometimes. I hope that she sees, that this whole SC2 thing is huge and a passion for almost all participants. And i hope she'll get infected (infested, neural parasited o.O ![]() And so this "doing interviews with some strange nerds as a job"-thing will become a "being part of a great and friendly community"-thing, which is not "just another job" for her ![]() I hope she becomes friends with Anna Prosser (if she isn't that yet) to get to know, that girls can play huge roles in this thing and produce great content. Hopefully there isn't such a rivalry it seemed to be in their interview ![]() I welcome her in our community, i wish her the very best! Don't take everything we do/say/write/picture so serious, Lindsey ![]() ![]() It would be really cool if she got into starcraft but if it isn't for her I can totally understand. No harm done in my eyes. I think it's already Excellent that she is giving the game a chance. If she doesn't like it that is understandable (taste and all that jazz). It's just good to let her know she is welcome in this community no matter how much she plays starcraft or knows about the game. As long as she respects our hobby and respects us we should return that respect. If she can give entertaining interviews she deserves the job and our support imo.

For me it's more about breaking social barriers than sex appeal. Take any person who is unlikely to be an SC2 fan (based on stereotypes) and show 80,000+ people that person's enthusiastic interest in SC2 and as long as that person has a charming personality and/or is physically attractive, instant fans. And there's no stereotype about gamers being won over by sex appeal as far as I know. Sex appeal is universal. Being sad about others' interests and success is counterproductive to your own interests and success. If it's harmless and you don't like it, ignore it. Or if you think it's harmful and you're not capable of doing anything about it, ignore it. Seeing people say this thread makes them sad makes me sad. Hahaha +1

We sat near her during the July/Puma matches and she seemed genuinely interested in the matches. Always nice to see a fresh face in the community, but kinda weird that NASL would hire her on so late in the season when there are so many other knowledgeable people in the community that could have filled that role just as well.

Hiring a sexy model... terrible idea, it didn't work at all.

After all, a big reason why people watch Gordon Hayward. Those of us who care about the success and growth of professional Starcraft like seeing signs here and there that our ESPORT may appeal to a broader audience. It's reasonable to be skeptical about whether she will stick with the scene beyond her employment with NASL. Still, to claim that the entire reason why she is popular is because of the 'hot' factor is stupid. Physical attractiveness tends to magnify opinions on TL, not form them - if she didn't show interest in the community then it would have counted against her. There would have been numerous complaints that she knew nothing about the game and didn't care to learn about it and (as insult to injury) expected the nerds to just fawn over her because of their social incompetence/stereotypes/etc.
