And actually, she wasn't that good looking, that CSN girl is alot hotter. I just like her because she made a total ass of herself not giving a shit, like me going to a fashionshow and discussed the clothes with the whole community (which I would never had dared). So props for people not giving a shit about their image, her looks though, meh, too "standard hot", like daddy telling you when your young: son, this woman is a woman you should be attracted to because this is what other people is. Yeah, people only find Lindsey attractive because others tell them too. This is probably why she was Miss California runner-up. Hey, dont understand me wrong now. I could understand why people find her hot, she do has the features that is percieved to be attractive by the general public. I personally just never been very attracted by convetional beauty, but hey everyone think differently.

I have one major question in mind while reading all of this. Why? Because it is an excellent sign for the game if people like her, who are the opposite of the stereotype of computer-gamers, are showing genuine interest in learning the game and become members of the community. And she's really hot, that's definitely a huge part of it too.

As she said in one of the videos, this NASL thing is new to her and its what she is doing the next (few) month(s). Sure, when you don't have that huge background in gaming and stuff, you'll take these jobs as "jobs" and not as "living your dream and work with passion for it". I think she was kinda overwhelmed with the reactions she got after her interviews. She probably didn't expect them, cause she didn't really know how the community is like, how "unforgiving" the community is sometimes. I hope that she sees, that this whole SC2 thing is huge and a passion for almost all participants. And i hope she'll get infected (infested, neural parasited o.O ![]() And so this "doing interviews with some strange nerds as a job"-thing will become a "being part of a great and friendly community"-thing, which is not "just another job" for her ![]() I hope she becomes friends with Anna Prosser (if she isn't that yet) to get to know, that girls can play huge roles in this thing and produce great content. Hopefully there isn't such a rivalry it seemed to be in their interview ![]() I welcome her in our community, i wish her the very best! Don't take everything we do/say/write/picture so serious, Lindsey ![]() ![]()

As I discovered from my last post, she has done nothing to the community yet has so many fans, reinforcing the stereotype that nerds can be won over by sex appeal alone. It makes me sad too. For me it's more about breaking social barriers than sex appeal. Take any person who is unlikely to be an SC2 fan (based on stereotypes) and show 80,000+ people that person's enthusiastic interest in SC2 and as long as that person has a charming personality and/or is physically attractive, instant fans. And there's no stereotype about gamers being won over by sex appeal as far as I know. Sex appeal is universal. Being sad about others' interests and success is counterproductive to your own interests and success. If it's harmless and you don't like it, ignore it. Or if you think it's harmful and you're not capable of doing anything about it, ignore it. Seeing people say this thread makes them sad makes me sad. Hahaha This is all great if the person doing it is genuinely enthusiastic about the game… but I have a feeling that isn’t the case. Similar to a lot of the other “enthusiastic” women in the community… if you like the game that much you play it you don’t run around doing interviews and making yourself appear completely uneducated about the game … you push the barrier and become one of the best female gamers in the market. But I can guarantee she will never play more then 25 games and never understand the game even on the lowest level but she will be at almost every event in North America… I guess even the UFC has ring girls and the NFL has cheerleaders… but they are smart organizations and don’t let them talk. Remember when the UFC had girls interviewing the fighters... then they realised how dumb they sounded because they knew nothing about the sport... they replaced them with a man... edit... on a side note as much as i disliked her interviews the Lindsay meets a DB is pprobably in the top 5 things from the NASL grand finals, great event great games. She only started it as a job a few days ago, so her showing enthusiasm at the start probably was the case of being fake. But it seems from her twitter and facebook that she actually got into starcraft after working at the NASL, so hopefully its genuine interest now, and she wil lget into the game If not, oh well, we had some good laughs
