I'm the biggest HerO fan but I'd say that was a lot more than a few mistakes...

1) used the same exact build that parting just beat flash with
2) did it on a map that's actually terribad for it
3) did absolutely no damage with the blink tech he invested in
4) just..... never made a twilight? (might have forgotten) then made a robo and cancelled that too?

Flash also played much better against this than he did against Parting, not wasting as much army and scouting the third earlier.

I think herO just got nervous with his team down 2-0 and elimination on the line playing against Flash. I'd pick HerO to beat flash any day

The only mistakes he made that game were a) forgetting the templar archives and b) not fighting with the stalkers in his main. He played amazingly aside from that. With a templar archives done in time (which it should have been), +2 armor done, charge, blink and archons he would've completely wiped the floor with Flash's army. He had up to 8 gateways and enough gas for 4 archons right away. He also had a massive zealot army with sentry support and a good number of stalkers left. If he doesn't make those two mistakes (the first one being the game ending one) then he holds the third and demolishes Flash's army in the process (Flash HAD to get damage done, he went 5 rax before 3rd CC).

And then his third is up unchallenged, Flash's third was just barely established and HerO is ahead in upgrades. Then he hits a timing on Flash's third and the game ends.

Those were the only mistakes he made and they cost him the game. You don't have to do damage with blink, the robo was reactively to widow mines and to start that tech path.

Yeah, the blink doesn't HAVE to do damage. If it can then that's great, but it's also more of a defensive tool vs drops and for added mobility.

Unfortunately Comcast crapped out 3 minutes in and I only caught HerO dying because he didn't have his stalkers with his army, so I can't comment on the rest of the game. But before the game and during the first few minutes he looked REALLY nervous. Doing the holding his forehead thing, doing multiple deep breaths etc.

It's rough when he's on elimination for his team cause he instantly starts playing worse in that way. Usually it's just the early game and then he finds a sick way to come back, but Flash is too good for that :[

I still think picking THAT build on THAT map was a mistake. Also flash is too experienced of a player to just lose to the same thing twice.

HerO always does that. I'd be worried if he sat there without any reaction at all.
