I don't think he sees it as worth it. He would have to play 50+ maps and come first to win any prize money. He will likely not be going to MLG Dallas due to ESWC 2012 happening the same time, and so winning a paid trip to MLG Dallas by finishing Top 8 is not worth it, as he is apparently not going to Dallas anyway. I guess he decided that committing to it for 5 weeks or so is too much considering he get's nothing unless he comes first. Stephano does not come from a BW background so has no particular desire to play against these Kespa guys for the sake of it.

Anyone know whether he is going to DreamHack Bucharest? Technically he has already qualified for DreamHack Winter due to his points accrued at Stockholm and Valencia, but Bucharest is the weekend before ESWC and so avoids a clash.

Is it Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home?

I really like this song which I discovered from Stephano but I think he took it off his playlists (or else I can't find it)

The other thing is that, since he's on EG, having his travel and accommodations paid for Dallas isn't exactly a big deal. I'm sure Scoots would like it if someone else paid for that trip, but he and the rest of the management would be delighted to pay for it themselves.

MLG Dallas is going to be the first SC2 event I have attended, so I truly hope Stephano plays in it.

Was Idra at his peak as successful as Stephano?

Never you can take the top 10 foreigners and combine all there best results and they still wouldn't reach Stephano achievements. He just keep winning tournament after tournament!

That is not true at all. Though good arguments can be made for stephano I would say that IdrA was more accomplished in his own way. He was the most skilled and arguably the most talented foreigner in BW (He still might be for Sc2) which is a harder game than sc2, and maintained a level that could compete with and challenge most koreans progamers. He was on his way to the CJ A team before sc2 came out so you could say that he wasnt even at his peak of potential then. Also for quite some time he was considered the best Sc2 player in the world (mostly during the beta and arguably even shortly after that).
I suppose if you rule out BW than perhaps stephano takes the cake but even so valid points for IdrA being more "successful" can even be made for his Sc2 career.

Idra is and always was a joke.
Of course he was the best foreigner in BW, he was the only one full pro, practicing in Korea for a few years. And even that 'best foreigner thing' wasn't convincing, he could lose a BO3 to at least a few people at any time.

When SC2 came out, again, he was the guy with the good mechanics, and a desparate wish to finally be good, meaning he practiced a lot. However, his lack of talent showed pretty soon, when more of talented people showed up, and guys with good mechanics started switching over.

I'm pretty sure Grrr was the best foreigner in BW ^^

That is actually quite a silly proposition. He may have had the most results, but saying that Grrr the best foreign BW player is like saying BoxeR was the best Korean BW player. Even BoxeR himself says that he was a better player in 2008 when he was mostly irrelevant in individual leagues, than he was when he was playing and winning OSLs and MSLs.

Grrr is the most accomplished foreigner in BW. The best, all other things being equal, was IdrA, with maybe Nony as someone who could challenge him.

Now, of course, its ludicrous to say IdrA is the best Foreigner. There are SEVERAL foreign born players who would almost undoubtedly be considered the favorite against him. Stephano, Naniwa, SaSe, Vortix, Lucifron, Nerchio, Mana, Sen, and many others would be considered upsets if Idra beat them at this point.

Dude I was obviously joking, hence the "^^". Sorry for wasting your time

How about Mondragon, Testie, Draco? Any of those have skill to become BW B teamer in Korea, just chosen differently. Grrr is another story though

Speaking about BW in Stephano (WarIII player) FC.

You all talk about a period of almost 20 years.
And you ask who was the best overall over the life of BW ?

Silly internet people, your doing it wrong.

:p

his last tweet was gold again :

People recognize me more and more in paris streets ! I feel like i should be more cocky than what i am right now. ( its humour dont get mad)

Hi everyone, Stephano can't stream when he's in Paris. He has some computer issues too and a super bad internet. I managed to help him before MSI & NASL games but his computer is a total mess. Problem with the launcher, he has to launch the game from another exe and repair doesn't work. I'm just waiting some fresh news about that, swe planned to reinstall everything. But don't expect a stream before a (very) long time, sorry !

Good question ! But now you know why he doesn't stream : ). By the way, a new computer won't fix his internet problem. he has to move from Paris if he wants to stream again. Or find a good spot for. Which is actually "the main plan" : ).

didnt stephano win that really fancy xmg gaming laptop from qualifying for the last homestory cup that was played out quite a while ago? of which he didnt go because he had france WCS but he did come first in the qualifier, and it was a 300 prize with laptop and paid trip to homestory.

He does have a streaming pc, he just dont want to stream , Which is fine by me. But lets clear the air shall we. Even if he truely didnt have a pc, EG would give him one for free if he requests it.

Btw whats the reason paris cant stream? and is he no longer living with his mom?
