It is from HomeStory Cup 3 in July 2011 against Huk, and is cast by Rotterdam, HasuObs and Socke. It is interesting to see how far he has come since in the last year. You can hear Hasu really emphasizing to the others just how strong Stephano is even back then.

Stephano is a great player despite training less than most other sc2 pros, but he is much more dedicated to his weaknesses in training to use his shorter training perions to full extend. Anyways if he goes to korea again and stays longer than last time I think he will become an even more brutal monster.

This is what most people say but I realy doubt it and to be honest I don´t understand it either. There hasn´t been one foreign player who became "a monster" after he has been to Korea. Not one. And still people think going to Korea makes every Pro even better. Idra, Huk, SaSe, Naniwa, TLO and so on, they all went to Korea and had some impressive performances here and there but none of them has won anything since 2011, not one. Steph is one of the strongest players out there but I realy doubt that Korea would make him even stronger... Just my opinion.

Naniwa was good before Korea, and he's even better now. Idra was good in early SC2, almost guaranteed because of his Korean experience in brood war. Sase is really good even if he's not winning :x

Unknown, lol, not really. I agree that he won't go to a Korean team, even if he were offered a spot, but he is probably THE most well known foreigner and among the most well-known players in the game. Everybody who follows esports knows who Stephano is.

Sase is really good even if he's not winning :x Huk was good until everyone figured out how to defend 2 base all ins, has been in korea a while now and has got worse recently and has had to rely on lucky brackets to place well in anything this year, so korea hasn't helped him at all, particularly recently naniwa is obviously really good but hasn't converted all that korean training into a championship, good runs in GSL I guess but nothing amazing outside of it idra was good in early sc2 because no one else played it 12 hours a day or played as much BW as him, had little to nothing to do with korea, he even went back to korea and performed horribly there and upon his return Sase is really good and like naniwa hasn't converted korean training into anything close to what stephano (and others) have achieved without korean training

Feels allmost like ancient history but I remember those games well. This was Stephano first sc2 lan tournament outside of French he took 5th place same place as Idra. We can allrdy back then see the brilliance of Stephano. His control, army positioning was slowly starting to get developed back then. "quick 3rd" hehe 6min" One thing I also notised was he was really good at sniping sentries and immortals something he is a master of today. Poor Huk got totally outplayed. And remember Huk was in Code S and had just won Dreamhack but like allways Stephano dont give a shit and just played his game with his agression and sharpness. One month l8r he got 3rd at Assemply and 3 months after that he became champion of IPL 3. And well the rest is history. Good times!
