Shouldn't take a week, the difference in points between the top 100 is very small. Winning one game moves you up 5 ranks, losing down 10, etc.

He should hit #1 if he wins another 2 dozen or so games without losing too much.

He is 28th actually. When you look at his rank, look also at the grandmaster page that is constantly updated.

What a great day of games. Highlight of today was Stephano vs forgg and Stephano vs Byun, some really high skill level games. Stephano was on beastmode today so impressive.

The protoss army was not cloaked, he didn't see the mothership creep up before he had a chance to split the slowlords

he said it when leaving he didn't split his BL, didn't expect the toilet, big mistake that costed the game.

Seriously, if Stephano manage to reach the playoffs it will already be a huge accomplishment.
He should be able to beat MC, Hero and maybe DRG, but can advance even if he loses to one of those; so it's not that far-fetched for him to advance.

Idra's reason for Stephano being overrated made no sense, "he is overrated because he has been winning a lot of things recently" - yeah that is what happens Greg, you win things and people call you good
Hehe, wp. Another Idra comment that got influential was that "people will figure him out" and then he's going to be just good but never top. That's just so simplistic, because obviously Stephano is a very adaptive player, who doesn't have one fixed style, and as long as "people start figuring him out" he'll just keep evolving to newer styles.

I dont think Hero can be beat in PvZ atm I think thats a sure lose. The match between MC gonna be a match that can goes both ways if he can win that good chance he will go further

I believe he can be broken early game, before spreading out his insane drop play; Stephano is quite good with early aggression, I trust he could find a way. But sure, I don't count any of the mentioned games as easy win.

HerO got beaten by DRG the last couple of times they met pretty swiftly and one-sidedly.

Stephano has a different style of play than DRG, but I definitely don't think it's a free win for HerO.

MC is a very smart player and he has all the time in the world to study Stephano's playstyle in the OGS-house. I love Stephano's play, but I think he will lose to MC, Hero and MVP. I would like him to prove me wrong though :D

HerO also beat SEn 2-0 at DHW, and 4-0 at NASL 2, and SEn has REALLY strong ZvP, I hope Stephano does well at the Blizzard cup.

I agree. To be honest every player in the groups can take 1 game off each other so it's difficult to predict who will go through.

If Stephano loses all his games I would not think differently, he's still a great player.

I am glad he's getting a lot of experience on the toughest server in the world. This is essentially Bo1s, so maybe adaptive play to the unknown will help him.
