Yeah but do you see the maps that he has to play? He has never won on Ohana and he auto loses on entombed most of the time. yeah well the maps for OSL are entombed, antiga and Ohana so he better figure something out. Those are awful maps though. Only one Zerg made it out and yes they still have another day but very few will make it out. There won't even be a Zerg in the top 4. The same maps are for the next round :/. Is DRG the only zerg that has won more than 1 major tournament this year? NesTea almost won iron squid, hasnt made ro4 gsl, has he won a tournament this year? Stephano won NASL, Violet MLG, Symbol nothing. I think zerg was invincible a few months ago, but i only see toss winning anything now, with a couple exceptions.
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments
So far this year, Protoss has 4 premier wins (MC 2, Seed 1 and MaNa 1), Zerg has 5 (DRG 2, Violet 2 and Nerchio 1), while Terran has 9 (MMA 2, MKP 2, Mvp 1, aLive 1, Thorzain 1 and Taeja 1 - hell), so I guess you remember what's most recent.
That said, I really hope DRG can pull through despite the horrible maps - I'd love to see him win another big tournament this year to make up for his rough last few weeks.

I think DRG will be getting an invite to the Summer MLG champs. I really hope so, he seems very motivated infront of his fans :D

DRG-translation by Seeker
The main key is choosing and focusing
Batteries seem to die really fast during the summers... why is this
There was something I really wanted to get off my chest but I instantly forgot it. Clearly an indication that I am getting older
Original Message From neoghaleon55: so after he lost that match last night, DRG tweeted this:
@MVPDongRaeGu 대세는 선택과 집중
@MVPDongRaeGu 여름엔 바떼리가다빨리닳나...왜이러지
@MVPDongRaeGu 뭔가폭트하고싶은내용이잇앗는데 금새잊어먹엇다 확실히나이가들고잇는게틀림없는듯
thank you so much, Seeker!

Sounds like he is is torn between SC2 and something else
|
I really don't think you can take anything from those tweets because they could mean anything except the second one is pretty self explanatory

DRG's Teammate Keen is now playing EC.Welmu in the round of 32 in TSL4.
Yay! Keen 3-0's Welmu and advances to the round of 16!! I think he will play Vortix next.

he actually didn't show up? Did he notify people ahead of time? FXO said he let sniper replace him.

DRG-translation thanks to Seeker:
There was a time when I would just win everything I thought to myself that that there was no more room for improvement regardless of how much I practiced. Now that I'm viewing my own VODs I can clearly see that my play was crap and I was terrifyingly bad. As I watch my VODs, I realize that I AM getting better and better. This, is very reassuring.

Awesome! Maybe these recent losses are going to be a good thing for DRG in the long run.

Ya lets hope this is motivation for him to win WCS, GSL, and OSL .

Dongraegu is #1 regarding the 2012 GSL points.
MC, Leenock and Polt recently beat Dongraegu. Those players are no nuubs and Dongraegu isn't invincible. But he is my favourite zerg in SC2.
I feel love for Fruitdealer and admiration for July and respect for Nestea, but affection for Dongraegu.
I cannot help it.

That is a very reassuring thing to hear. I hope DRG will get his confidence back and start dominating again. Go DRG!!
|
I wonder how his competitors feel when the best player of 2012 says he was actually play bad and could improve a lot more lolol. Let's hope he keep this mindset for the rest of his career. Even when one is at the top, he needs to be constantly innovating and improving, or others will catch up. I await for the day when he truly dominates everything.

me neither. I feel a deeper connection to DRG than any other player in any other sports....ever. He's more than just a zerg hero to me. I see him as my brother and my friend, even though we've only twice briefly.
come back soon, DRG. we'll always cheer for you.

I'm really into sports and I like DRG more than most of my favorite teams too. He's just so awesome.

HSC isn't a premier tourney compared to GSL/MLG/Dreamhacks/IEM and NASL i think you also forgot Stephano winning NASL.
Also, DRG is by far the most impressive player so far this year, no doubt. He'll come back stronger after a break.
