Maybe to you, but I don't consider him Bonjwa for consistently beating up foreign slouches and ex b-teamers. He is undeniably the best player and by far the most consistent but he hasn't shown true dominance like any of the past bonjwas. Compare his accomplishments to what every bonjwa has done and it still pales in comparison. And because GSL is a monthly league, only winning three in a calender year just doesn't cut it (Flash made every final and won four in 2010, WCG, Winner's League and Proleague). Congratulations to MVP for being by far the best player of 2011 and GL in the Blizzard Cup.

It's a lot easier to get upsets in sc2 than sc1. There's also a lot more tournaments.

None of the 5 bonjwas in BW history dominated for that long and that completely. They all lost games here and there and had notable non-1st place finishes. All that mattered was that the player was unrivalled in the scene and it was reflected in the results (not always winning all but making deep runs in most). Declaration of the title is just fickle that's all.

MVP is Bonjwa, deal with it. BW can suck a dick. Your misguided nostalgia can suck a dick (all the BW Bonjwas dropped games and tournaments here and there). MVP has had Flash-like performance for a year now. Suck it. User was warned for this post

MVP is very, very consistent, but there have been periods in the year where not only was he not considered the best player but not even the best of his race.

![]() He's easily the best player in sc2 right now but the title of Bonjwa requires something more. A type of domination that we just haven't seen yet in sc2.

Even though both loss on occasion (happens to everyone), they were still able to go to final after final. Savior went to 5 consecutive MSLs + OSL and Flash made every final possible in 2010. That is a level of domination we have not seen yet in SC2. MVP is very, very consistent, but there have been periods in the year where not only was he not considered the best player but not even the best of his race. Although MVP hasn't been CONSIDERED the best player for all of 2011, he obviously was. Every slump had an almost coincident victory, fall to code a: WC, loss to mma: Blizzcon. I hate how people rarely called him the best at his race like they did for MC and Nestea even though he put up far superior results than either of them the entire year. Widespread terran hatred among casters, fans and fan favorites have led to an EXTREMELY hard rode to recognition for MVP. At one point there was a poll on TL for gsl August, huk was ahead of MVP by roughly 20% despite being eliminated BY MVP. MVP didnt take the lead untill it was only him and top left. I remember a hilarious comment by wolf in the gsl the shows the utter ignorance that leads to MVP underrating, When MVP was being Nestea in the GSL, he said "This is potentially one of the greatest upsets in the gsl history" Despite the fact that at the time MVP had 2 gsls and an mlg to Nestea's 3 gsls and THEY HAD PLAYED 3 SERIES'S PREVIOUSLY IN THE GSL ALL RESULTING IN MVP VICTORIES.
