Nooooo MVP, why go for 3 tank push on Xelnaga? Only NA GM players do that build anymore and it sucks really bad. What happened to your macro game man? This tourney he's just meched around and done timings.

I guess he just felt flustered after that first game. Must suck to lose to a gamble like that; not sure whether he realised what a huge risk Leenock took or whether he felt Leenock somehow did an amazing job of defending and being everywhere, but to lose a game like that has to shake your confidence either way.

Yup. MVP's multitask with hellions is badass.

Leenock was excellent though, it might have been a massive gamble but it paid off and turned a serious disadvantage into a winning situation. Ballsy decision making and the queens coming for transfuse was game winning.

Favourite MVP moment from this MLG is probably split between his games vs Losira on Tal'darim and his series vs MKP. Someone needs to make a highlight video of the way he controlled his harass in the second MKP game on shattered temple, just out of this world good.

Seems like he ran out of gas at the end. However, he played like a boss this weekend, only terran in the top8, I think.

can't win 'em all champ, but hell of a run from open bracket, losing to eventual champion. no complaints there

had some great sick games, but highlight for me was when he smashed MC in extended series :D

MVP you honestly had the sickest games in the tournament, you should be proud of your performance not easy going through the open bracket but you did to a 4th place finish very well done, get some rest and win the last GSL of the year!

Even with this loss i believe hes the strongest player out there. Not bonjwa status yet as he is still weak vs protoss but he will go over what he did wrong (2 base 3 tank marine push on XNC) and come back stronger and closer to the bonjwa status he is destined for.

Fun fact for everyone. Despite 'only' getting 4th at Providence, MVP is now #1 in prizemoney for all of SC2. Technically he's still a tad behind Nestea but with Nestea already having been eliminated from this month's GSL MVP will surpass him once this season is over.

Very proud of Mvps run, very sweet seeing him 3-0 MC, but there was always a chance he could be taken out at somepoint having to play so many games, and leenock had a great run himself.
Hopefully he can rest up to do well in the GSL.

On behalf of Quantic and Incredible Miracle I just wanted to say thanks for cheering for Mvp all weekend! Players like Mvp can get demoralised at times, since people always naturally cheer for the underdogs - which Mvp never is - so I'm sure your cheers mean a lot to him.

Signed up after a lifetime of lurking just to post here. MVP is easily my favorite SC2 player. His games are inspirational and actually make me want to try harder to get better. Few other players have ever been able to do that for me. MVP, don't worry too much about your loss at MLG, you had a good run for having played so many games... 3-0 Leenock in Semifinals and get your fourth GSL title for revenge!

P.S. Oh and sign me up for the fanclub too.

was re-watching some of the games/vods from providence, like the series vs mc

in the shakuras game, where he had the flawless concave to combat mc's colossi force, he was micro'ing small groups of marine/marauder back and forth from the colossi thermal lance splash, while controling vikings+focus firing, on top of superb concave + bringing scvs to crush the attack

so sick, so inspirational, i think i finally got my motivation back to continue laddering/playing sc2

MVP should be really proud of his performance. He avenged his loss to MC with a 3-0 the next day, and also beat Hero, so his protoss weakness actually is looking not so bad at all. On another day he'd definitely have beaten leenock, and his TvT that day was really good as well. I think he really came close to winning the whole thing.
