Unfortunately he plays Soulkey tomorrow so realistically It's the end of the road, but 8th place is a good amount of money and points. Maybe he'll pull out a miracle and win.
I firmly believe that Mvp needs no such thing as "bracket luck" - we all know that if Mvp wants another championship, he needs to prove it.
Personally, I am glad he is facing Soulkey and I am sure Mvp feels the same way. Mvp does not back down from challenges. He is smart, which means he won't take unnecessary risks, but he knows he is capable of being the best. Perhaps a lesser player such as aLive (no offense) would probably pray for some great bracket luck in order to win a championship. However, Mvp says "bring it on, I don't need bracket luck to win... I will prove that I can win competing against the best."
Think about his GSL August run where he plowed through a gauntlet of champions... Think about GSL Season 2 2012 where he faced the top 2 PvTers of that era, PartinG and Squirtle, and defied expectations. Think about GSL Season 4 2012 where he faced pretty much the best PvT (Rain) and ZvT (Life) in a row, and he was inches away from championship. Now think about how many times he went to pick up "easy money" in the foreign scene compared to someone like PuMa.
So let him face Soulkey in the Round of 8. Hell, let him face sOs in the Round of 4 and INnoVation in the finals. That will certainly shut the haters up.

You're forgetting that Mvp always had smart picks in the ro16 group selections so he could make it to the bracket stage, I doubt he wants to take on the WCS KR champion so early in the tournament. It's just bad bracket luck no matter how you spin it and I don't see a world where he beats Soulkey right now, we'll see though.
edit: apparently the Mvp vs Soulkey ro8 draw might be bad info, might not be true after all.

Pulling out miracle is Mvp job so don't count him out yet. Obviously SK is favorite since he is the current code S champion going through Innovation. But Mvp has the potential to win against anyone at any moment. He just knows how it's done.

LiebeGrüße-IchBin_Jürgen fighting! Show them you are still the king of your country

Congrats on getting to Ro8. Good chance he'll be up against Innovation\Roro. Hope he had some tricks up his sleep. Or he that he got ForGG

I wish the vods were free, I'm atm completely broke. Probably won't catch a single glimpse of Mvp the entire tournament even if he ended up winning the finals :/

I REALLY DOUBT Mvp can beat Soulkey. His run ENDS HERE for sure.
Hope I did this right.

Well he practiced a lot of TvT he said because he planned on facing ForGG in EU (among other T)

A completely surealistic journey for mvp would be for him to beat ForGG, then Innovation in the semi and finally Soulkey in the final; would be sooooo good.
|
When does Mvp win? Whenever people expect him to lose. When does he lose? When too many people expect him to win. Nobody is expecting him to beat Soulkey.....
|
What if MVP beats both Innovation in semi and Soulkey in the final??? That'd be a dream lol. It's not likely gonna happen since SK is just too solid but who know right

Bad news there are Innovation and SK left. Good news the games will be Bo5 and Bo7. So who knows, in a nice day, Mvp can win it all. And then he can stop playing and we can still call him King, Bonjwa or whatever people use to call the best player of all time. So sweet dream :x

Sadly some random terran rises up and wins a few games and gets hyped to be the best rts player ever by Tastosis. Then the King has to get back on the saddle and slap the doubters.

If Mvp is a Bonjwa, which he is, he will prove all the doubters wrong with his sheer force PERIOD

hes going to lose 0-3 to forgg and even if he makes it through, he'll just get stomped. No way he'll win this

Let them all hate, the more haters and doubters, the more likely he will win.
