nah, no way HotS comes out that soon. At least two more WoL GSLs, I think.

If he doesn't make it back to Code S for the next season I'm blaming it on the NesTea award curse, he and Supernova will both have dropped out at 9 consecutive seasons.
|
Well, it's always disappointing to see Mvp drop out early in the GSL...
Still, we all know that he tends to have his "rest season" - while it may be disappointing for me as a fan, it seems to work beautifully in Mvp's favor. He certainly knows how to get it done, and I have no doubt that he'll be gunning for another championship soon enough.
Mvp better make it through Code A, we need to see him with that NesTea award!

Do we know when Iron Squid starts? That will be the only thing other than Code A/GSTL he will be playing in for the rest of the year I think.
Blizzard Cup is also a possibility depending on if they do it again or not.

Pretty sure he will make the 'Korean' team for the Korean vs World thing at IPL since he is the #1 ranked player in GSL.

You think he would accept the invite to go out there just to play in a show match?
I guess if they let him play in IPL5 he might do it.

Is the code A schedule out yet?

Hmm, it does not seem like the Code A schedule has been posted yet.
LG-IM defeats EG in IPTL with a score of 5-1, but Mvp never got the chance to be used. However, we will see an epic LG-IM vs. StarTale IPTL Final match on November 21! I'm sure Mvp will be brought out in that match. He was brought out in their previous match and he will probably be used again. After all, you need the big guns to take out StarTale.

GSL Code A Ro48 will be on November 16/19/22.
Unless GOM schedules the Ro32 between Nov 22-29, he'll probably play his matches after IPL5/GSLWC.

I think he also has a HoTS showmatch (vs Rain and vs Nestea) for the GStar event in Korea today. Not sure if they will have stream tho. Of course, it isn't a competitive match but would be fun to see Mvp trying out the new units vs Rain and Nestea.

5 GSL World Championship Korean players: Mvp, DRG, Seed, Life, MC. Can't wait to see this epic series

Unfortunately, he had a sad loss against TAiLS in the LG-IM vs. MVP GSTL match... he wasn't able to turn it around for LG-IM, but he was not outplayed in his match. Rather than Mvp being outplayed, I would say that TAiLS had a very nice build order. Props to TAiLS for the win.
It's true that Mvp has lost a lot of matches since his GSL 2nd place finish, but I would still hesitate to call this a slump. I'm hoping that he can pull things together for his Code A matches and earn himself the NesTea award (which should be renamed to the LG-IM Award once Mvp accomplishes that!)
Mvp schedule:
21/11: IPTL Season 1 Finals: Incredible Miracle vs. StarTale 29/11 - 2/12: IPL 5 29/11 - 2/12: GSL World Championship 2012

Looks like Mvp fans won't have much to look forward to for a week or so.

I would look at it this way: Since all of 2012 Mvp has been in a slump.
|
Yeah, that's sort of true... 2012 is the year of Mvp's slump. After all, he ONLY accomplished
1st GSL Season 2 2012 Code S 2nd GSL Season 4 2012 Code S 1st IEM Season VII - Cologne 3rd NVIDIA Gaming Festival 2012
as well as maintaining Code S throughout the year and reaching #1 in terms of GSL points in 2012.
It's a slump which could only be called a slump since it's fucking Mvp.

Hahaha, perfect, I love the concept of 2012: the year of MVP's slump compared to 2011.
And I have to wait weeks to see him play again? =(
