Let's just use an english word: God.
He is the most successful sc2 player to date by a WIDE margin. Game over fellows. Get off your seats, stand up, bow and salute the man. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant. The facts stand. We call him the King. God's not very original. Emperor's been taken, Genius Terrans been taken, Tyrant, Revolutionist, all that's been used. But Mvp is the first person to be called "the king"! God is pretty original. We know there is only one, and His name is IMMvp. It's been used before I mean (Flash). Plus my favorite line when cheering for mvp is "all hail the king" haha. "The King" is even on the frontpage of this fan club! =)
Agreed. MVP is The King and Game Genie Terran. Honestly think these are the only proper two nicknames that have stuck. Been a tonne of others but watchers and casters seem to use both of these a fair bit.
|
I have to say I like the Terran King dynamic.
Perhaps we can call him the King of Wings considering he practically beat Wings of Liberty.
|
Can we get TheBest to just give MVP his name? Just so he wouldn't need a nickname.
|
Mvp is already a fine name - Most Valuable Player sounds just about right.
Besides, I think Mvp is a good name for him. Calling him TheBest while he opens Banshees just wouldn't feel right, you know?
|
But imagine the hilarity that would ensue when he used them well. MVP is the best.

if mvp wins we should all change our signature to "MVP 1st sc2 bonjwa, deal with it"

I really hope TL implements a no b-word policy soon.
Anyways practice well Mvp and crush Life!

Of course, we're getting ahead of ourselves. Who knows, maybe Mvp could actually... Nah. Mvp will win the finals, definitely. :D

hey guys, i won't be able to man the LR thread for the finals, sorry T_T need to call off the hype you were doing for me, but feel free to do it anyway ;p

On Mvp's twitter, he just posted "celebrating 600 days." Do you guys know what he's referring to? Is it his relationship with his girlfriend?

Your argument is faulty because you are generalizing based on a selective poll.
Worse there is some weird shit going on with the defense of bonjwa. MVP is the bonjwa because you don't own the term. BW doesn't own the term. Why is that word so precious to you bw fans? MVP isn't just the king, he is the God. And he is the only bonjwa in SC2.
If he wins this final even the general opinion will place him as a bonjwa. And we can all point out how we knew he was a bonjwa even before he won his fourth title.
Oh also MVP is THE bonjwa. Not just a former bonjwa like all the old ones. haha k w.e you say buddy. I've been an mvp fan since he took a game off flash in 2010. I'm even the first person to sign up for this fanclub. But you're just fucking ridiculous lol. You can call him w.e you want. The korean community decides who becomes a bonjwa anyway, so I guess tastosis will let us know when he actually becomes one. cya later The way you throw around that title I feel awful for Jaedong. MVP was still one of the most underrated players on the scene untill he beat rain, now he's maybe overrated. My point is getting a title should be based on skill, which he has, not popularity, if that was the case, Idra would be a bonjwa.

Nobody should honestly predict against MVP anyway. Every time he loses it's honestly a shock to me, but other people and TL writers seem to often think MVP (for whatever reason) should be an underdog.
I know people hyped Rain, Symbol, Parting, Squirtle, etc but honestly the entire time there was no way they were favoured, just burning more brightly than before and some people get tired of the long lasting King.
I guess recently he's had the Ro16 finishes in OSL, GSLs3 and HSC IV which made people forget again, but each time he dropped out of any of those people were left shocked.
So yes: some people seem to bet against MVP, yet pretty much everyone is shocked when he falls out of a tournament.
P.S. Not saying he's a bonjwa, on the fence for that. Honestly if he hadn't have lost to Leenock or MMA 2/4 times at the end of 2011 it would be undisputed.
