The points decay every subsequent season. So DRG had 4500 points for the 1st season, but they decayed to 3k and change because its been 2 more seasons. Seed has 4500 points for his win and mvp's season 2 points dropped to 4050. edit: Actually it seems it is 5k points for win. First season you lose 500 points, then 450 points, then 405 points. | ||

Yes, the points system was slight changed in 2012 so you get 10% decay per season. Points matter a lot more in 2012. In 2011, points were only used for Blizzard cup qualification and year end awards (WCG?). In 2012, the points are used to decide group selection in Ro16 each season which is really a big advantage and also WCS. | ||

Rain is insanely skilled, but it takes more than just skill to beat Mvp in a GSL series. MMA (and his team) understood how to do it - you kinda have to beat him at his own game. Rain is not quite ready to do that yet. Life actually seems like the scarier opponent here, and omg am I hyped for this finals. Go Mvp!!! EDIT: And I sure hope MC (probably) can show Rain that there's more to the "old guard" than just Mvp  | ||
