Just a random "funny" thought. Whenever someone mentions the best foreigners they always start out with Stephano, and then Thorzain, and those are usually the ones who are getting mentioned. Why not Naniwa? He is the only one actually competing in the hardest tournament in the world.

Not implying that neither Thorzain or Stephano are not worthy or the title "best foreigner".

To be honest I'm pretty sure NaNiWa would be atleast top 3 foreigner if not the best, only problem is that he's in korea and not participating in foreign tournaments. but atm I feel like it stands like this.
Top foreign Protoss = NaNiWa
Top foreign Zerg = Stephano
Top foreign Terran = Thorzain

I think one of the reasons for Naniwa not being as much mentioned as Stephano and Thorzain is that he got his focus on GSL which makes him unable to participate in as many foreign tornaments as they do. Foreign torunament is the best exposure for being recognized as "best foreigner".

EDIT: Also, please notice that all the top foreigners are european!

That is a good point.
But c'mon, doesn't anyone watch the GSL?
I would think that, the GSL is the tournament that most people watch, and therefor the place where the players gets the most attention.

Hmm, not so sure. It feels like, or at least for me, GSL in general is less interesting for some reason. Last season and this I have only been watching because Naniwa has been in it. I think the foreign scene care more about foreign players so naturally they follow foreign tournaments more than GSL. Just my theory though.

As for best foreigners I completely agree with my fellow Norwegian listing Thorzain, Stephano and Naniwa.
Also a bit jealous of Sweden, so many great Swedish players

Now, gogo Naniwa, we know you can do it! Fighting!
