Brilliant run by Nani this tournament. Best foreign Toss.

I feel like he'll get overshadowed by HuK this tournament just because he didn't place higher. Naniwa fighting!!!

The real sad thing (and you might even be alluding to this) is that if you stick Naniwa in the same bracket Huk had, suddenly Nani's in the exact same position.

Well HuK had way easier opponents and Nani faced all 3 runners for the King of Zerg.

Naniwa did meet tougher players, though idk if MarineKing is necessarily that much better than Oz and even Ret. But even so I suppose if they had switched places in the bracket, it would've been better for Naniwa with easier players early on.

Anyway, I'm just happy he got to redeem himself against Leenock, and stay under NesTea's skin.
I'm sure Naniwa would've preferred to beat Leenock in Providence instead of now though...

That's funny because he has a losing record vs Ret. Record: 7 wins - 8 losses (46.67%) No guarantees and only Minigun was really an easy opponent. Socke is a strong foreigner.

Naniwa did great though. Hope he keeps it up.

This shouldn't really be important. Huk or no Huk, Naniwa had a good run and is definatelly one of the top foreigners in the world. If people can't see that because of Huk doing well then that's their problem.

From my objective Stephano fanboy point of view Naniwa is just better than Huk. The last one had AGAIN an easy bracket and PvP AGAIN all his way to the finals. Naniwa (even if he always does the same thing) is in my opinion more complete in all his Match-up, with a verry good PvZ.
The best foreigner title is between Stephano and Nani with a slight advantage for Nani because he beat him at dreamhack but Stephano is maybe more concistent and a beast in ladder !!

I know this is a fan club, but "best" foriegn toss is a flat out false statement. His games (his foes did it too) were cheesy/gimmicky and as usual he failed to beat the current top tier players like MKP and DRG. Huk had a harder bracket considering recent perfomances, almoat everyone he faced is better than Naniwa atm.
Wut?

Two things:

First, Naniwa was the first pro protoss I saw play (about six months ago I guess). His micro amazed me. I watched all his games last night and his micro still amazes me. Best? I don't know -- but geeze he is good. I'll watch more of Huk and decide. My one complaint (which is uttlerly stupid given our relative abilities) is his opening seems locked in. It worries me. It seems that if he can get into mid-game, he is unstoppable.

Second: if Naniwa watches this thread and its true that he uses the left handed DeathAdder mouse, then Razor and Naniwa need to make that more public with an endorsement. I'm left handed and I'm looking for a mouse. I'll try DeathAdder half because of this thread and half because it seems to be the only left handed gaming mouse on the market.
