Leenock adapted to Thorzain's style quite well. In Game 2 on Shakuras he went for a roach ling bust, which Thorzain easily held despite going triple orbital by lifting up into his main. But Leenock droned up behind it, and it went to a normal game. Thorzain went for the same mech style that beat Sheth and Leenock on Daybreak, but Leenock played really greedy and got hive tech much earlier than in the first game, and was able to break Thorzain with broodlords.
In Game 3 it was close air spawns on metal, and Leenock went for another roach ling bust. Thorzain held it but lost a lot of SCVs. He got medivacs out and started to pressure with drops, and was probably ahead economically, but he didn't scout well enough and Leenock just went allin and went for a huge baneling bust off two base. Most of Thorzain's army was on the map and he didn't have tanks, so he died.
They were pretty good games, but Leenock definitely adapted well to Thorzain's style. He plays much more aggressively than most zergs, but he also knew when he could be very greedy, and it paid off.
Alright, ThorZaIN will be up against Grubby in the lower bracket. I would have said that Grubby is the weaker opponent, but his play against LosirA was superb. Well, TvP is a different story and ThorZaIN already defeated him in the qualifier. I really hope he wins, because we all should remember if ThorZaIN reaches the next round, he will get a spot in the Top 16 and therefore a spot in the pool play for the Winter Championship in Columbus. And those spots are very valuable!
Thorzain has always done well against Grubby, so hopefully this will be more of the same! If he beats Grubby he gets the winner of Demuslim/Haypro, and they're both beatable too! Gogo Thorzain!
