For some time now, I have been missing a place to discuss and swoon over the greatness that is drewbie. It is no secret that this amazing player got a lot of fans, who every day tune in on his stream to see him stomp players on various servers, while he listens to Parov Stelar. A while back drewbie introduced us fans to Catgroove. Sickest dance and song ever! Hopefully we can all enjoy this playground in honor of our hero. Still looking for more content, if anyone know something or have some links they want added, please post and I will add it.
In early beta drewbie founded ROOT gaming together with ROOTCatZ. The idea of creating a team for SC2 had been born years earlier, when the two of them were teammates and 2v2 partners in SC:BW.

The replay is of Drewbie VS. VTPokebunny in an SCL clan war in which Drewbie asks Pokebunny if he knows about the Flash Build, then proceeds to do the Flash Build and win the game. Drewbie ftw :D

Drewbie is my Favorite Terran player, he is really funny and is a great player, also good job in the show match. The interview was really funny, nice question by catz xD.

Yeah, I played against Steve (coached by CatZ) while I had Drewbie in my corner. Originally it was going to be the other way around, but I play T and Steve played Z, so it worked better to switch.
Basically, I got 30 minutes of Drewbie coaching me on different TvZ openings (Banshee rush, 2 rax, Tank expand). It was really, really helpful--I'm a low Diamond player and I never paid that much attention to specific timings, so when he told me things like "Attack with 5 marines and one hellion, you'll get that before he gets Zergling Speed" it really opened my eyes to the kind of practice and attention to detail you need to play this game at a high level.
Then we started playing the series. First map was Metalopolis (MLG), we started at cross positions, and Steve went heavy on a 2-base Roach timing attack while I was going Banshees. He basically wrecked my economy, but we were at about equal supply when his PC's laptop battery went out (it wasn't plugged in) so we decided to restart the game. In our second attempt, he basically owned me with a baneling bust.
Second game, I picked Xel'Naga, and I think CatZ suspected cheese on my part because Steve ended up drone rushing me (that 11 drone rush seen before in Steppes of War, I think). I held it off with SCVs, built marines, walked over and killed him.
Third game, he picks Testbug. I was planning to go for BF hellions, but he attacked with a roach timing. Fortunately I saw the roaches coming and was able to cancel BF and start building a tank and a marauder, which was enough to hold off the roaches (although I sustained some heavy SCV losses). I already had my second OC, so I was able to expand with the tanks and hold my second long enough to transition to MMM, dropped his nat and shut down his numerous attempts to expand, and eventually beat his ling/baneling/muta with my MMM. Really good games though! Makes me want to get back into this game for real.
Drewbie needs to learn how to deal with Thors. They basically ended the games against PuMa, who just played overly greedy. But, since Drewbie couldn't kill the Thors it was ez to secure those extra bases . I suggest Thors :D.
No shame in losing to Leenock at Providence - everybody else did too. But wtf happened in the next match? Especially after Drewbie's recent win against Stephano in NASL S2.

Wow, what tough competition at IPL4 - congrats for getting so far thru the LB. By my count, Drewbie is in the top 18 foreigners. Good luck to the remaining CoL players.
Wow, drewbie moving to Peru! Sounds great. Really look forward to hear more about this. Kind of reminds me of the excitement I felt when I heard he was joining CatZ in FL back in the good old ROOT days
