MKP won and is in Code A Round of 16 But can't be happy for him. A better Terran would have stomped him. Hopefully he'll continue to work hard to improve and get his confidence and focus back. MKP fighting!

Well imo Hack was the strongest opponent of the 15players on his side of the bracket (yes I rate Hack over Leenock and Tassadar, also due to matchups) . So knocking him out 2-0 is really ok. Yes he wasted some units here and there in the first game, but came out still very convincingly and stomped him in the second one. (I really like this build he played there, such a good pressure build in tvt). I think he should make it to the round of 8 and his chances of winning Code A are not so low, after getting a foot back into the door of TvT. In TvZ and especially TvP he rips nerds apart, so let's hope he'll be playing at his best. Btw. I'm very sad for Hack, because I think he is a really good player who deserved to be in the up and down matches.

I am also sad for Hack but that's a good thing that code A is so stacked, the competition will be even fiercer in code S. There are probably more than 8 players that are very good in this code A, but not many will be able to go to up&down. I hope that MKP will not be in the same group as MC (if he wins his ro16 match and don't win code A), even if today MC lost and that PvT is hard for koreans atm (and that MKP has a very good tvp), the players like MC, NesTea and Mvp can always be back in form suddenly, and starting to crush everyone again, we saw it with Mvp. Anyways I'm gonna watch game 1 on vod, can someone summarize how the game 2 went and builds/styles used? MarineKing fighting! gogo win code A and code S in the row!

MarineKing fighting! gogo win code A and code S in the row! He went for his cloaked banshee into marine/tank push. Hack went for a gasfirst banshee into fastexpand. Hack's banshee came due to gasfirst much earlier and destroyed MKP's techlab on the starport which canceled cloak tech. He also defended MKP's banshee with 0 loses. But MKP kept his banshee alive. Then MKP teched up to fast siegemode (with the money gotten back from canceled cloak tech) and threw out 3 siege tanks, about 15 marines and some additional vikings and went for the attack and killed Hack, whose siege tech came about half a minute too late to defend.

some moves of the classic MKP vs Kyrix on shakuras, one moment of GSTL against DongRaeGu and some epic clips from his point of view in replays from CPL China :D. I wanted to include the game against GuineaPig where he pulled off a comeback by micro only (and a bit of multi-pronged attack) but unfortunately I don't have the ticket and the youtube *cough* video of it was removed. Here is the link. Feel free to comment!

Hack played a strangely weak TvT... normally he's much more solid than that, idk what happened that day

Anyway, (spoiler of GSL Code A day 3)+ Show Spoiler + Thank god Thorzain didn't advance, means he has a TvZ and hopefully Lucky dominates Jjaki. I think he can beat TvT's in a bo5 but meh, his TvT is so volatile and it's sad since it's by far the most important matchup since there are so many Korean Terrans. I hope he and mvp figure out a bio way to play TvT or he manages to adapt to the mech style. Watching blueflame hellions is no fun though, people can make 500 mistakes but if you make a mistake once vs BFH hellions you are dead :[

MKP is competing in a streamed event (continues at 7pm EST tonight): It's Gosu Invitational #1 He's in the Ro8. Some other big names left as well, but he's looking in good shape. 2nd NEWS! MKP will compete in Europe! Yes, he'll be attending IEM Cologne @ Gamescom next week. Think I might just go and say hi ![]() EDIT: changed to correct time
