"Gaming Reality" The tone, again, is fairly negative; but it sheds some light on some of MKP's drive to be the best.

But the article, at the end, is ok. The feel of the article is pretty negative. Describing his eagerness to start the game as him being an addict craving for another fix. But at the end he writes that there IS a clear line, the overall tone is still negative. The thing I do like about the article is the background about MKP's childhood etc.

But I still don't like the undertone and the insinuations the author makes. The story, though, is heart breaking. My signature makes even more sense now... Grubby nailed it

I seriously doubt that he played for more than 20h a day. C'mon thats a bit too much even for him. -_- I also don't like the fact that the writer overlooked all the other results, from GSL, and so on. In the interview MKP looks more like an addict of an online game, a rebel that stepped up to his parent. Than the master mind, athlete, an insparation that he really is. Althou the overall article is a fun read, i seriously doubt that all facts are straight. Yeah, I agree with you, I also didn't like the article. I mean, the comparision with gaming addiction is mind boggling and puts the achievements of all Pro Gamers into a bad light. First of all these guys aren't hiding behind their computers and just waisting time because they can't find a right place in their life. They are seriously dedicated, putting in lots of effort and professionalism to reach their goals and financially they stand on their own feed. They travel a lot, sacrifice a lot of privacy to entertain lots of people who like to watch and follow e-sports. I always thought that with the rise of e-sports in western culture those guys will get more respect outside the community, but with that article it surely doesn't look that way.
