I have some constructive critisism for your casting. When you get to the exciting parts you tend to raise the pitch of your voice really high. To me that sounds like you are trying to be quiet while still sounding excited, which would make sense if you didn't want to bother the other people in the house with you. But since you've turned "pro" as a caster now, I think you need to try to raise your volume rather than your pitch. I think it brings the more of the "holy shit this is important!" factor to a cast. Obviously being too loud is a problem, but you strike me as an emotional, big personality kind of guy and you should play to your strengths. The more excited and loud you get, the more excited I get. Besides, that high pitched voice does not suit a man of your stature. :D | ||

A couple days ago, he had the GSL on in the background while he was chatting with JP and IdrA on Skype and surfing the intrawebs. Last night, he couldn't get gom player to work (it went down for everyone for a while) to watch Jinro, so he asked in his JTV chat for a link to a restream (he wasn't streaming at this time himself), and someone linked him to someone from TL that was restreaming. On one hand, iNcontroL probably handled things less than ideally (some might even say hypocritically), but on the other hand, the guy he banned was a complete douchebag and completely deserved it. iNcontroL then apologized to the community for his own misconduct while the guy he banned then went over to SCReddit and started some huge retarded thread that attracted all the morons of Reddit like moths to a flame and basically got a ton of people over there frothing at the mouth brandishing torches and pitchforks. To highlight some of the differences in the situations, while iNcontroL was "restreaming" the GSL (it was barely even on the main screen, and wasn't even full-screened when it was. It was pretty much just in the background) the other night when HuK was playing, an Admin from JTV contacted him and asked him to stop, which he promptly did, followed by an apology. The other guy, however, had been banned from TL for restreaming in the past, and instead of apologizing, he starts a smear campaign against iNcontroL (actually, I'm told that it was already under way). Furthermore, the guy was trash talking iNcontroL on his stream while restreaming the GSL (granted, this is the least important aspect of the situation, objectively, but fuck objectivity, and fuck this douchebag and his trash talking). All I gotta say is: Geoff, just get an account on GOM and download the shitty GOM Player and save yourself the headache of all this bullshit drama. Or, if you must watch via restream, don't ask for the link publicly. Typically, when the stream goes down, someone in the Tournament thread on these very forums will post a url address that you can just paste into VLC player under "Media > Advanced Open File > Network" and watch with (usually) no problems. | ||
