This is the reason he's so successful. MC can beat you with a timing attack, a DT rush, a storm drop, an immortal 7-gate timing, a 2-base colo push, a 30 min macro game, carrier play, or anything in the book really. Since other races have hard counters to most solid builds available to protoss, a good degree of unpredictability becomes very important, he's also got good enough micro and decision making to take him out of very bad situations. MC has also proven time and time again he can make some seemingly useless builds work, while other protoss can't use them at all. All of this makes MC the best protoss. If he were only great at timings and just "good" at macro, he'd be crushed easily, but he's great at pretty much anything protoss has to offer. | ||
