Well. Even if he's sick, this tournament as very very sadly confirmed my belief that MC is currently at a mid-high code S level. Prob top 8, but I don't think he currently has the consistency, PvP, Game-Sense, and refined-builds to put him at a championship level. However, he plays a style a bit unlike all the other P's atm, so I feel that even once the P imba train has slowed down, he won't fall too, and championship looks like its just a bit of refinement away!

If there is one thing we should have learned about SC2 is you can't win them all. Too volatile. MC has placed and made money in tourneys throughout his career, more than most, meaning he's a top player and will remain so. He went out early with the other Kings (MVP and Nestea) no shame in that and they'll all be back one time or another.

This is what I think. I did not watch his 1st game against Ganzi. But overall I found Mc's PvZ and PvT pretty strong (not perfect but nobody is perfect atm). The problem is his pvp. He is still pretty good at pvp and you can argue there is problem with the pvp matchup. But overall, Mc falls to early agression too often. For example, lost to JYP's 2 gate, Parting's canon cheese and 3 gate pressure, Genius and Hongun's 4gate. Once the game goes on to mid-late game, Mc may still lose, but no matter what happens, he usually shows excellent play in pvp.

If you think about it, a few months ago, Mc falls to all types of terran and zerg early aggresion often too. Now, if you watch his game, he is much better at dealing with early aggression from the terran and zerg.

Really hope he can keep practicing hard and improve. When I watch sc2, I only cheer for two players and they are Mc and Polt. And when they play each other, I root for Mc.

As far as PvP goes, it's just a retarded matchup.

But the games against Ganzi weren't anything to do with the matchup. MC just played awfully, for whatever reason (sick, tired, whatever). I don't think his play vs Ganzi was remotely indicative of his overall skill level.

well... couldnt this be the first symptoms of not having a good trainibng environment anymore? I mean I love the guy, but especially after the switch to SK I'm not sure he's still the ace toss he always used to be. Time will tell I guess..
