What's the tournament they need to be top 2 for and how many more seasons do they have for the cutoff? Lol, so many questions! http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/GOMTV_Global_Starcraft_II_League/Rankings MC needs to win GSL Aug and MVP has to get under 2nd for MC to take 2nd place overall.1 I believe GSL Oct is the last chance to gain ranking points. Thought MVP played very well during MLG against Terrans and DonRaeGu, but I have no idea how his TvP has improved. Anyone know who is better at this matchup right now? I really want MC to get out of his group and crush nerds, but with three Terrans in his group, hopefully his PvT has really improved.... MC's PvT is absolutely brilliant, it just so happens that PvT is arguably his weakest match up ![]()

MVP eliminates Nestea for MC (because MVP's TvP is 'meh' compared to his awesome TvZ while Nestea is probably the only player that's the heavy favourite over MC) 5. MC rolls on to win GSL without having to worry about Nestea 6. ??? 7. PROFIT. :o HE'S AN EVIL GENIUS

Hmm. To be honest, if he can set up a team kill, that'd be pretty devious. The thing is, he NEEDS to win the next GSL and make sure MVP doesn't take 2nd to make second in overall GSL ranking. I'd give MC a better chance against Nestea though, given his recent brilliant PvZ stargate play. Plus, if MVP beats Nestea in ro16, there will be a potential MC v MVP finals and MC will still fall behind MVP in ranking points even if he wins.

Hopefully MVP runs into another protoss or Nestea runs into another good terran...then again I'm sure MC wants to face both of them to prove hes the best.

I honestly think that PvP killed MC's chances at this last GSL. He could very easily compete with Nestea and probably beat him. He loses a set to HongUn and PvP becomes his weakest matchup? Are you forgetting this guy practices with Inca and has beaten him in every televised GSL match?

Among the big three, Nestea / MC / MVP, I bet they all relish the chance to play each other and prove who's better. Will be fun to watch, especially because MC is forcing it to happen next season.

MC is the best Protoss in the world, and MVP has not had as much success in TvP as other matchups. However, look at it from MVP's mindset. They are both two-time GSL champions and MC has openly challenged him. If I was MVP, I'd be excited to play this match. If he loses, a decent number of people will expect it given his TvP. But if he wins, he's all of a sudden got some of the best TvP in the world, and he just made MC look silly for picking him. I feel like its a low risk - high reward pay out from him, given that the majority are favoring MC over him. That being said, I hope MC destroys him and shows climbs the Blizzcon rankings.

Anyone can lose a game to Kiwi, that is not a big deal. But I do hope Mc destroys MVP. Considered that TVP is MVP's worst matchup and if the best toss can not defeat him, I do not know if the game is balanced.

It's also a Bo1...what, when Zenio beat MVP last season, is ZvT suddenly unbalanced because a mediocre ZvT player beat a top TvZ player? One player might play well, and the other might not. Doesn't mean anything in terms of balance. Edit: nor would anyone with a brain suddenly consider MVP to have the best TvP just because he beats MC once. Seriously...

Oh my god if he thought this deep through then that WOULD be genius. And that wouldn't surprise me either.

Luckily I imagine MC will probably be spending countless hours working on defending 1-1-1 all-ins this week and he may be able to show us something cool. I've seen mentions of some phoenix build that hardcounters it?
