Is this thread really just a balance discussion right now about Hydras, stalkers and DT? i was under the impression we are to discuss our being a fan of IdrA. Personally, i think he had a great MLG. Placing in 3rd, making some good money, unfortunately, he lost( like every single other person who went there except for one person). I still love my IdrA and i hope he can learn and get better from his losses.

Yes, because Idra's first 3 games were solid macro plays.
Oh wait. Look, I'm sorry, but I hate it when people blame balance. I always did, back from SC:BW.
Idra COULD have beaten MC. He did it before. Why is it that you guys always have to blame balance? I hope Losira crushes MC in the finals too, but just to show everyone that it can be done. It's SC2, MC is not bisu

He's at the helm of foreign SC2. He needs to stay strong so that we can at least post respectable results vs Koreans.

How the hell is Idra an underdog?

bahahahahahah your funny. holding off 3 straight idra cheeses, not to mention Idra's 6 pool at Dreamhack. Cheesy protoss.. bahahah

That game where MC cheesed, Idra could've just ignored it and taken it out after a while of getting a big army, toss can't build on creep. Idra thinks he's playing ladder noobs where he can just easily GG out without much consequence. His anger just envelops him in that point that he runs away instead of dealing with the problem at hand.

Idra was more cheesy then him, also I used to like idra's dont give a shit attitude but after seeing him complain about his race during a professional game and not a ladder shows its more him being insecure then confident. I like the guy, hope he can turn it around, his biggest opponent is himself, hes not going to win any big tournaments in the near future if he keeps this up.

It seems all idra needed to win is one of those cheesy pep talks that take place during the halftimes in those cheesy '80s movies. I just hope he gets out of that groove where he gets in that wierd attitude and cheeses.

What's Idra calibre? He have never had the attitude or character to be something bigger. That's why people like Rekrul have bashed him over and over again.

How did he win so much at the start of MLG then?

I wasn't refering to any of his games in this tournament, just in general, he's such a cheesy player I don't enjoy his playstyle, and I don't think he's anywhere near as good as IdrA where it counts. The amount of cannonrushes, 6gates, proxy gates, voidray rushes and god knows just isn't making for a good player in my book.

How the hell is Idra an underdog? His mindset and inner demons, he is usually the underdog just because of that. I think today proved that more than ever, premature leaves, the constant mindset that he cant beat protoss etc. (even if its true that doesn't matter). That mindset makes him the underdog.

Everyone saw what Idra did in the games that mattered so yeah sure

I'm usually idra fan and agree with all the imba comments, but those 6 games vs MMA/MC were all possible to win. I really don't understand the shaku/typhon allins when he already saw he has fair chance in macrogames in group stages. Taldarim was bshit and unwinnable imo after the block so that quit I can understand. Still weird quit vs MMA, poor other game vs MMA and 2 poor allins made quite unfortunate games to watch. I hope to see interview where he actually talks about those sets
|
He made bad calls by trying to do those roach rushes in the first two series.. tbh
|
idra i still think you did really great and showed many people that basically only yourself, naniwa and perhaps thorzain and slush can roll with the koreans.
|
He was relying on coin flip (1st all-in) and mind games (all-in retry). Third game was for us
