im concerned too. take for example his third nasl game vs socke. the commentators were going on about how smart he was to counter socke. but then idra posted that he just guessed, because he couldn't gather the info he was supposed to. ideally we would like to see something like "i saw x so i did y" but sometimes it's just like "i guessed he was going for that so i did this."

guessing isn't really a bad thing. In a perfect game you would be able to predict perfectly based on information. Not sure if thats where I want the game although i do believe the guessing factor of the current game is a little too high. However I am sure all of the top players must make educated guesses based on the opponent, scouting, and just intuition. Greg may play it off as just a "lucky guess" however that is one thing that seems to separate the great players from the good players. I guess they just get lucky more often.

Based on the analyze greg has been giving the last week while casting game, i sincerely think his "guessing" are pretty accurate due to a strong experience and a cleverness making him able to read his opponent strategy on little sign that common player usually don't notice.

Of course every race should have decent tool to scout their opponent strategy (OV speed on T1 really could solve that) but i think sometimes "guessing games" make game far more enjoyable. Sometimes because we are stunned that a player get a read without scouting, sometimes because player are able to "fake" a build and fool his opponent, making scouting somewhat miss-leading.

I was watching the EG Masters Cup W1D2 VOD; Adelscott is bm'ing KawaiiRice and IdrA stops mid sentence, and says "What the fuck is wrong with him...douchebag."

Edit: OMG IdrA notices a lot of little things. He pointed out how the some blue flame hellions killed 2 sentries and how it was a big deal because of the low sentry and gas count.

Also I had a fun little though. Artosis/IdrA casting duo...no restraints cast of course so they could BM all they want.

Idra is, to me, a player like oGs.MC, really really talented with an amazing knowledge and insight into not only the race he plays, but the entire game. The only player who fits this description in BW would be Flash, these guys know the game inside and out. That's what I love about them.

Idra isn't totally honest about adelscott whine on lags on US server from EU , he said himself on his stream that he really didn't like to play on EU since it was sooo laggy
