+ Show Spoiler [ On Spoiling Future Games] +
Yea a little upset about that spoilers tbh. When I read spoilers I expect it to be about shit I missed. That people who tuned in know. Not future results. Now Ill just be watching to see how he wins I guess.

I think the whole issue with these spoilers is that it's not "let's discuss something which happened recently" it's "oh hey let's discuss something which didn't happen yet".

If you don't use spoiler tags correctly (I.E. warning that's it's about a FUTURE event) then people like me and others will get spoiled for real, because we consider that we saw the most recent IdrA matches. If there was a match yesterday and I didn't see it, then I might go "oh well, let's just read the spoiler and see what happened". But for these FUTURE EVENTS, if I end up watching it then it kills the fun.

Please don't put results of games that haven't even been broadcasted yet in spoiler tags ;/ As others have said no one knows the contents until they have clicked and been spoiled, usually i click them when i only intend to watch the VOD if IdrA won or it was a gg, or to see other peoples thoughts.

I think it's worse that people are commenting on those spoilers without using spoiler tags themselves. The way they reply to them can easily be interpreted by people who didn't even read them.

I would tell people to just move on and stay on current matches instead of upcoming ones at this point, but of course, no one will listen.

EDIT: On the games today, while it was great seeing him win vs Fenix so easily, it's sad to see his teammate Machine lose to a similiar, but less difficult to break bunker rush. Select's skill may have been a factor; too bad it didn't show of Machine's skill.

Honestly it is pretty obvious with the AMOUNT of spoilers what the spoilers themselves are about. I wouldn't care if the vods were put out already and they were in spoiler tags but match history spoilers are kind of dumb.

So, if you dont know already Idra won IGN (IPL) Pretty convicingly i might add, and i was thinking isnt it time he is dubbed the best NA player? Due to fact IGN (IPL) was just the best NA players?

On his way to the title he beat Fenix 2-0 Drewbie 2-0 Kiwikaki 3-0 Select 3-2 then in Winners final without losing game he then beat Kiwikaki again 3-2 in final to take home the prize! I mean thats some class there beating Kiwi a top protos player twice!!! and having a total record of 13-4 which is pretty good! Cant wait to see Idra own NASL and the rest of these tournaments up!

Proves to all those haters Idra CAN and WILL win any tournaments thrown at him!

THE DOMINANCE HAS ARRIVED!!!

IPL spoilers:
+ Show Spoiler +
I'm so glad he won it, and i'm double glad that he beat KiWiKaKi (who is really amazing protoss). Gonna watch the IPL vods to see how he menaged to do it. Must be some risky play, and risky play is mostly entertaining ;]

Does it not bother you guys that you've had the excitement of a grand Idra victory completely ruined for you?

It seems like people are treating Idra's success as a simple "W, let's move on", rather than going on the rollercoaster ride that is a tournament victory.

And Idra's had a rough trot recently... this would have been a pretty momentous occasion for Idra fans.

Spoiler for IPL result, sorry if i messed it up.

+ Show Spoiler +

Yep, somewhat. I've gone into many tournaments over the last year knowing IdrA would lose, because it's IdrA...he just doesn't win tournaments these days. To see him finally get a big win, especially dismantling an abusive protoss player like Kiwikaki, would've been pretty exciting to see. Congrats to him though, looks like it was a very well deserved win.

I'm sorry, match history spoilers are incredibly stupid. Thanks to that gem posted on the previous page, I now know the result of the IPL. Posting match history spoilers is doing a disservice to said tournament and destroying any hype surrounding said tournament. I'm not usually one to care for spoilers, but spoiling a whole tournament through match history extrapolation is idiotic.

I don't mind seeing results either.
But I think this was over the top. I'm sure IGN won't make this mistake next time.

If the sc2 profile match history helped spoil tournament matches, I feel that Blizzard should take note of this, and back up their claim that "SC2 was made for esports" by reducing access to a player's match history. Perhaps grandmaster players shouldn't have their match history publicly visible, or only visible to friends. This might break sc2ranks functionality, but I feel that something like this should be prevented.

ed: also another way is to make the match history a maximum of 10 matches for GMs when anyone other than the account holder looks at it, so the match history can be quickly cleared by 10 games of starjeweled.
To Do: 1. finish the rest of my practice league matches 2. win GSL

Well I think match history for Grandmasters shouldnt show the opposing player just like on the website. That won't break sc2ranks but still will help avoid spoilers.
