I'm glad Idra won.
I'm only sad that the game he didn't all in he lost. It's just revealing as to the state of the game.

G3 - I love when IdrA had a small handful of roaches left, looked like he was retreating, and Socke followed them into an ambush of lings. Beautiful.

Woohoo good stuff! I always prefer getting to see your abilities in the big macro games but your early aggression and execution in the series was a fine display of your powers. Keep practicing may will be the days of your victories!

I thought the way idra played was really sad. It seemed like it was just complete guesswork by idra. Yea, he won, but it really shows that he thinks the matchup is completely broken. He was all-ined and then all-ined both games.

He just sort of figured that Socke would go air, so the hydra drop would beat it. He didn't even scout it (because you really can't reliably scout at that point in the game). Second game, he roach/linged all-in and it happened to work because of socke's aggression.

And game 1 just shows how bullshit that nexus-cancel stuff is. He threw down a bunch of crawlers, made a bunch of units and it just wasn't enough. The scouting in this game seems like a major issue.

Based on what I've seen from Ladder stalking, IdrA has won customs against Fenix, Drewbie, and now KiwiKaki on maps that are in the IGNPL map pool. If you look at the bracket that means that He's advanced to the Semis of the IGN PL at least.

Worse than that. The only games he won were ones where he blind countered Socke.

Yeah and based on the fact that he won 3 in a row (quarter-finals are bo5, it backs up that fact). This now means that IdrA has at the very least gotten into the top 3 of a tournament. Happy day!

So I did some more investigating and that Select took down Catz 3-0 in the quarters, which means he'll be playing IdrA in the upper bracket finals. Also, Kiwi is likely moving up the losers bracket and some of his more recent games show that he beat Vibe 3-1. Of all the players, he'll probably be the worst person for IdrA to play should he make it to the finals.
