Despite his reputation IdrA just seems pretty nice in person (unless you're Huk, of course).

Obviously he would like to win but like most players I believe hes just chasing the points so he can guarantee his spot at nationals. After watching this interview I now know I must go watch the replay of the Huk V Idra games

The two players he said he was scared of? Kiwi and Naniwa. The finals? Kiwi vs. Naniwa.

If he could understand that getting mad is bad maybe he would be able to control himself and play at a much higher level. Everybody gets mad at a moment or another. Being mature is just knowing how to control that. He is not playing to win, he is playing to prove something. I strongly believe that if he was a little more mature, his results would be really stellar. Every time I see him play I want to sign up in his fan club, every time he opens his mouth I feel bad for him. Boasting like a child and not respecting other players gives a bad image of esports. If he really felt that Huk was not able to beat him he would not have to say it. Saying it is just a proof that he would like it to be real. Maybe in a few years he will learn...

Why are you in the fan club then?

He's developed a MASSIVE following by being IdrA. He has one of the largest (if not the largest) fan clubs on TL, and everyone who knows sc2 knows IdrA. I respect IdrA, because I believe he realizes this, and does it to further his own career, which is working.
