Hope he plays terran all the time because he belongs to terran.

It's just something he's going to do 1-2 days a week not permanent or anything.

Not necessarily. He did mention that if the viewer count remained significantly higher when he was playing Terran, he might consider switching. And usually Terran streamers get the most viewers.

As he said himself, it's not like he's competitive anymore so there's not really much about "switching" races anymore.

he should honestly consider playing random for a couple days a week, not just terran, it would obviously benefit him as a caster quite a lot, and i'm sure he will derive some sort of smug pleasure from utilizing some of protoss's more abusive strategies, as he's been on the receiving end of them for 3 years
glad he's at least trying terran though, it was fun to see him play with an unfamiliar race and progress quite quickly through the lower ranks ^_^

I've got to say that it's my first time to see IdrA truly happy. Sometimes when you're really good at something you do, people will expect you to keep doing it but it may not be what you want. I was really upset over the news of IdrA quitting progaming but I realize this was what he needed.

You would be surprised at how fast people would stop watching them with high viewer count. The first few times they would get a lot, but then like every other korean pro their viewers would average 2-3k probably. I mean when jaedong started streaming his first time he got 12k (this was back at end of wol too iirc). So I imagine they'd get about that much (maybe more maybe less) then would average 2-3k.

I mean it has happened to every top korean pro that streamed, DRG even back in his prime, Jaedong and others. Korean pro's don't get too many stream viewers because they only play and do music (by a lot of viewers I mean at Idra/stephano viewership).

If you commentate or are entertaining on stream = get lots of viewers and most korean pro's aren't like that.

I still watch JD's stream whenever I can. Professional, high level Korean play on Korean server? You can't not watch that if you're into sc2. But it still goes to show how large a difference a webcam and commentary go in terms of stream "quality".

I'm pretty sure I would watch the shit out of Flash's stream and many others as well.

I agree. It was a good, relieving choice for him i would assume.
Also, it's interesting to see him playing terran.

Possibly already posted somewhere in this thread but I just noticed this since people are trying to open threads about it. What a terribly written article, holy shit.

I thought that was a pretty good article ^^ Definitely a step above most of what's written about esports.

But not that it's a month old, and the name of the author is next to the title..

Someone who knows shit about esports and the scene itself. Just don't care.

That stuff doesn't matter anymore.

He has individual control groups for queens, 5,6,7, and he double taps them to go through hatcheries individually. Sacrifices a little speed for easier control of the queens. It's a pretty old-school style of injecting, but it gets the job done

Me too but most don't after the first few times or as much. It's been proven many times as well people prefer entertainers.
