He's a smart guy undoubtedly, and will probably be fine. I think he should maybe put his mind to something less competitive, more constructive, for a while. Direct competition is very taxing, and not something everybody can handle on a constant basis, myself included. Idra seems to resent the constant competition, judging by his attitude and recent lack of tournaments. It's really not a surprise this happened, and probably is for the best.

With that said, adapting a more likable persona will probably serve him better in whatever he does next. Endearing yourself to people is a useful skill toi have.

I feel bad for the guy. I hope he can find something next in his life. This is the first time r/starcraft has been number 2 in r/all on reddit. I am sure Idra will be able to find a new team if he wants to it.

I hope that he finds it in himself to become the champion he can be; rather than fading away -- I've never been that huge of an IdrA fan, but I really do hope his future will be bright, SC2 or not.

Incontrol was the guy who ignited my interest for Esport and EG, but you were the guy who hooked me and made me a fan of EG and I can't say I'll be supporting them as much now that you're not with them any longer.

He shouldn't really have a problem finding another team based on his popularity alone. Maybe this is a good thing, we all no he hasn't been showing results for a while now maybe he can use this to for that extra incentive.

I guess it will be a sad day for EG, at least in the future they will remember it.

Will it be bad for Greg? I dont think so. He clearly had issues with some of the people in EG, despite being a good friend of iNcontrol, and he may have had some problems with the EG management, who knows.

There are two possible solutions, either Greg will find his way back to gaming with more satisfaction and some fun while playing, or he will leave gaming and make his way IRL. No worries, folks, IdrA will be a successful man in life, be it in SC or elsewhere.

One thing missing: Best of luck Greg, go on the way you are! Spit on people you despise and stay true to your friends. It might be straight edge, but it indeed is a worthwhile life.

greg wasn't being disrespectful to his fans. he was lashing out on people saying EG is a entertainment industry that dont try to post results in their players. I love how people talk about the post that got him banned and COMPLETELY ignore his post earlier in that same thread. If anything he was standing up for EG. I do agree what he said crossed the line but dont think for one second idra intentionally disrespected his fans.
