Haha. Yeah, I also wonder how that EG Stephano will be announced since
that tweet about "awesome salary" just blew it.

Kind of makes me wonder how these two will practice together since
in one interview, IdrA stated that he learns by watching him play but
when he asked Stephano why he does this and that, he had no clue.

Also sad news since IdrA will lose the prime EG Zerg spot.
The current stream viewers + tournament results are clear.

Personally I dislike the move by EG since it's a f... psychological blow to IdrA.

This is one of many posts you have made here that blow my mind with stupidity. What the fuck are you talking about? They're signing available talent. Nobody replaces anybody. Did puma replace demuslim? Did thorzain replace puma? No. They are additions to a team.

I absolutely disagree with your statement and your word replacement and addition makes no sense.

When signed to EG, Stephano will become to best zerg on the team and the "prime star" based on his results.
IdrA was always considered the Foreigner Star of EG, being the best EG zerg.

It's exactly the same as acquisition of Ronaldo and Benzema to Real Madrid (especially Ronaldo)
Previously for many many years, Raul was the star of Real Madrid just like IdrA for EG.
Then Real Madrid acquires new stars (SC2 equivalent of Stephano)
Since Raul couldn't compete with the better players anymore he simply had to quit and move to Shalke.
Was this "addition" like you would claim ? No, it was replacement and Raul lost his position as Team's Star.

Under what logic you think Esports does not follow same rules and there is no replacement involved ?

Although Demuslim was the only terran on the team at a signing of Puma, he never was a "top player" based on his results. He had some great games but never showed as much dominance compared to IdrA so there is no real replacement.
Puma was signed so EG gains top terran but this addition did not hurt Demuslim.

Thorzain is foreigner and Puma is Korean. Acquiring of Thorzain is not a replacement of Puma but strengthening of their foreigner lineup, especially Terran since Demuslim has not achieved much recently.

The main difference is SC2 isn't an 8v8 game where EG field their best 8 players. Stephano and IdrA can both play in the same tournament. This can only help IdrA by giving him a strong practice partner and someone to discuss strategy with.

This is an independent sport acquiring a new player does not mean that IdrA is going to "lose his starting spot." EG and any other team supports all of their players the team is supposed to grow the player's talent, and help them get better. In a sport like soccer this is not the case they only need one great player to play a position. Any number of EG players can enter in the open bracket. I think using an analogy to soccer really doesn't address the issue.

I'm also cheering for First! Every win he takes makes Idra's win over him a bit sweeter. He's actually not in a bad spot to win the tourney now, except that I'd bet on Leenock ahead of him.

There had been a lack of another good Zerg in EG for some time. This should only produce better results for IdrA just like having IdrA around has helped Machine.

Spouting more of the same nonsense doesn't make a point. "Replacement" was your word btw. You keep making these grand analyses that make so much assumption and so little sense.

I agree with you that it is not a 8v8 game and both can play in the same tournament.

There has to be however and psychological struggle. Since previously IdrA's spot as the best foreigner zerg
was secure, he had leverage in salary discussion and exposure.

We all are aware that Stephano is the main reason why Idra's 15k viewers now sank to 6-7k max even when he did
commentary. And I am not talking about when Stephano streams - then it's like 3-4k viewers.

Putting the same zerg in the team is a threat to IdrA since then EG has the leverage in discussing IdrA salary
since he is not as marketable as Stephano. You create an internal struggle for the top Zerg position.
As this fanclub shows, IdrA still has the most dedicated fanclub but sadly it is not everything that matters
since a lot of revenue comes from TEAM fans not just IdrA and many more will come to support EG because
of Stephano.

Do you think IdrA is like "meh, I just lost the top position and 10k viewers to a guy who is on my team
but I do not care." ? He knows he can't ask for as high salary as before so it is definitely uncomfortable for him.

I would think the same but it is not the case for Machine. He keeps being eliminated early on in tournament. Ex this MLG and I'm not talking about ASD but Shew which is on some Back2Back gaming team.

Yes, Shew also defeated Incontrol 2:1 but lost 2:0 to Kawaii or some JimRising.
