After all he didn't complain during beta when he was having decent results. I don't know... he always says "fucking stupid game", "shitty game", "This game is bullshit". Seems to me like he doesn't enjoy the game much and I think his problem is that he knows he's better than most of the people he plays but he doesn't beat them. I think he isn't liking the game because ZvZ is a dice roll and ZvP is... well, we all know (boring, shitty matchup). Also listen to him talk about the Mutalisk situation in ZvT. He says mutas don't even work well anymore in the matchup because good terrans learned to deal with them and nows he's forced into this infestor style which he obviously finds unfavorable. I just hope he holds out until HOTS. well we all know that feeling, yet we're still in touch with the game aren't we?

Yeah I do agree he hates losing more than he hates the game, but that's probably not enough when he has to play it 8 hours a day

He's always been vocal about hating sc2. I think it's sad because he clearly loved and had a ton of passion for BW.

the funny thing is lately it seems he has no thrill for the competition.

So... Idra is on a 14 lose streak. It's really strange that he did better when he was practicing 3 hours a day than he is playing 8 a day. Maybe he should take a holiday or something.

I feel like we can sit and analyze his mindset etc to death.
Winning or losing, IdrA will always be my favorite player. If you're the type of fan who goes inside when it rains, in all honesty, you aren't a fan at all.
IdrA WILL be back. I think its going to be funny to see what some of you have to say then.

i personally dont think any foreigner will have a place in my heart like idra but after itg i just cant root for him/cheer for him/ hope for a brighter day. until he shows he actually cares again. and not about sc2 but about being the best of the best like in the past

Don't get me wrong, that stung me as well. I don't think he has a genuine hate for the game though. I do, however, believe he has a strong dislike because of certain balance issues he believes should/shouldn't be in the game.
With that being said, I would love to see him skip a few tournies and just kind of 'disapear' from the scene for a while, maybe even just a month.
I think Alex Garfield sees this slump and I expect him to do what is in his power to throw a rope and help get Greg back to form, however that may be.

Well HotS will be a complete game changer, it'll reset the playing field, so that'll do wonders for IdrA's mindset, and I'm willing to bet he's just waiting to see how he does once it releases.
If he doesn't do well after HotS, I wouldn't be surprised if he retired for good.

He'll never retire. Even if he's not winning tournaments or even having decent results, he's a legend of eSports. He'll always have a lot of people watching him no matter what simply based on this fact.
