I think he just never really gave sc2 a chance to be fun..I think a temp retirement where he goes off and works on something else for a while just to get his head straight

IdrA just needs to step back...with BW he had a chance to just play it for fun..and then he turned to a pro...with sc2 he just started as a pro and just didnt get chance to like the game

If he is so upset with Zerg in general he should seriously think about race switching after the summer tournaments. HoTS will hopefully be released before the end of the year and he isn't going to find a better time to do it. Or he could take a break from the game and figure out if he truly wants to be a professional gamer. The main reason why he doesn't perform near as well as he did earlier in the game is because of his attitude, I just don't see his desire to play. We all want to see him succeed but for that to happen he really needs to make some changes.

You can't live a happy life if you hate what you do for a living. I was in a similar situation quite a few years ago, stuck in a job I hated and because of it I was always cranky, depressed, etc etc. It not only affected me but also affected my family and everyone around me.

Only way out of it was to quit and move on to something else.

Unfortunately I don't think changing races would help much, if at all. They are all frustrating as hell to play.

Also, this fucking terrible community is probably not helping much, forever bashing on the guy (along with every other EG player) has got to be a pretty heavy weight on the shoulders too.

I had been thinking this was the inevitable outcome for quite some time. I've been an Idra fan for a really long time and I really empathize with his perspective on a lot of things. I've defended him even to his harshest detractors in a number of venues. I hope he does what makes him happy and if he stays in the esports scene, I'll continue to pursue whatever content he creates

Would be awesome to have IdrA just disappear for like half a year or so and then suddenly win an MLG playing terran.

It would be even more awesome if suddenly everything clicked for him and he just went fucking crazy at a massive string of events. We can always dream right?

I personally think that he should stop streaming for a while and do some super secret training. Idra is like the easiest player anyone can get info about. Sure other players stream too but IdrA stream always gets a lot of attention. It's so easy to study everything he does.
