I play at a decently high lvl (masters) and if I don't play a game one day I feel like complete shit as far as the game goes.
Having a good showing at an MLG (or any other big tourney) comes down mostly to luck.
I want to see my man succeed as much as the next time, but the more we talk about it, the more is expected of him(since he does indeed check out the fanclub from time to time).
He is a great player and I don't see that changing anytime soon, he just needs the bricks to fall in the right order for him. You're in masters league and think you're qualified to say how winning tournaments work? Not only that but your actual though of it is ridicolous aswell lol, "comes down mostly to luck" that's just bullshit, I'm a fan of IdrA myself but all these excuses and bullshit things like "he just needs the bricks to fall in the right order for him" are so ridicolous lol.
Maybe I shouldn't have put mostly luck, but yes luck is HEAVILY involved. I am not making any type of excuse.

. I see that you haven't playing competitive at all. Competitive players have so good routines that they can easily have small break and play with the full potential. I can say this from my own experience although the game i play is not sc2, but i guess it's the same thing in every game.
I have played pretty competitively in 2 games. Now when I say competetive I mean that I made money, both online and at LAN's and I get it. Just like Sundance, I get it alright. I can't speak onto what Idra does to prep for a tourney, but if I had to give it an educated guess, NOT playing is probably not one of them.

Want to see luck?
See inca getting to GSL finals through his PvT alone, then getting 4-0d by a zerg(that's an understatement considering it was nestea lol)

another good example would be the semifinals of the GSL NesTea faced LosirA both NesTea and LosirA completely destroyed there Ro4 opponent and few people thought Honguna dn Byun deserved to be there

To be exact, I want him to play and train, but i hope he won't stream. Streaming doesn't really help at all, in worst case scenario it only pisses you off and makes you feel less confident. I really hope he will train some infestor control and i think he will be fine

I agree with the infestor thing, if you can dig back like 20 pages I was talking about that.

IdrA says Symbol and Seal are the two Zergs to watch out for. ("Symbol is really fuckin' good.")
|
Poor Idra just sounds so down on himself on ITG
|
IdrA looked like he was about to lash out. That was awkward.
|
i wish Idra still cared! I want him to do well so much! I know it's hard when you lost your confidence, but we still believe IDRA!!!!
|
Just need something to give him motivation again. That was a pretty sad little segment
|
poor idra

Holy shit I think IdrA may seriously be considering retirement. He seemed really fucking down =(
|
the way he was talking on itg made me sad. it obvious he is pretty down on himself.
quick lets get a mutalisk for idra going asap!!!!!!!!!!

Has he ever said anything about maybe a race switch? He has always been vocal about Zerg and I'm just wondering if he maybe should consider it? Maybe around HotS would be a good time.
Still cheering for you IdrA!

Yeah, if I were as frustrated as he seems, I would definitely attempt a race switch. Just for a fresh perspective.

you know what i think is funny. i imagine idra feels like he is caught in a job that he hates. the funny thing is i know how much it sucks to be in a dead end job that you hate. its not fun i wouldn't be surprised if he quits to go back to school or something.

I feel like alot of it decides on how long is left on his contract. I doubt he would walk away from money.
