Put things into perspective. His play isn't gimmicky against Idra, Idra is known to not be the best at mind games, whereas mind games are one of Nestea's strengths. When you play in a tournament, you want the win and nothing else. Idra vs Nestea games aren't that great, that doesn't mean Nestea can't play straight up ZvZ. Check out last GSL (I think it was last season), when Nestea played DRG on antiga shipyard (I think that particular game is actually free to watch). That was one of the sickest, most high level ZvZs I've ever seen. Maybe one of the best games I've ever seen as well. To put more perspective into perspective, I'd say that Idra lacks that "gimmicky" side. If you look at DRG, Nestea, MKP or just about any other top tier player, they all have one thing in common. They're really good at all aspects of the game. Whereas Idra can probably compete with anyone in a "standard" macro game, he really isn't as good in the weird game situations that often happens in SC2 (due to the volatile nature of the game). He all-ins and cheeses are half-hearted and aren't as good as other top players'. At high level, it's best to have a lot of strong, honed play for both macro games and the shorter games. Am I making sense? Idra's macro is incredibly powerful, but he's really too vulnerable to abusive things. My 2 cents

i still can't believe idra lost to bomber Stephano lost to Bomber on KR ladder all the time - so a close loss for IdrA is not really disappointing imo

I did in no way bash Nestea, and if that's how it came off then I don't know what else to say. I've never ever claimed that Nestea was not an incredibly smart player, or that he was not able to play straight up(to say so would be downright stupid) I only added the qoutation marks around God because I generally don't like to use terms like that when describing. I didn't mean he was not the best at ZvZ or anything like that

Of course I am going to be annoyed with Nestea's ZvZs if he just mind games, and does clever build orders and tech builds. I am tired of people in ladder that already go 15 hatch every game even on Korhal Compund, raging because I did ling bane attacks because I didnt open as greedy as they did. I prefer macro games but there has to be a limit of how greedy you can go. The fact that Nestea still has incredibly high ZvZ means that the matchup makes sense and you can be good at it. Also giving any type of defense to help macro games would be terrible. Sometimes roach timings are meant to hit at certain time, punishing greedy players. As a macro player I believe this game cannot revolve all around macro games. Players needs to realize the importance of timings like in ZvP (Greg mentions his ZvP is bad because he doesnt get those timings of when to hit/retreat). 0 aggression in ZvZ would be so boring to watch players get 200/200 before moving out of base.

PvP made sense when it was literally 4 gate every game but that didnt make it fun to paly or watch noone saids 0 agression in ZvZ you can easily go to ling/bane wars from 15 hatch if you want to what we dont want is 2 minutes into the game it already being decided becuase of BO wins

First game he made lings when Stephano didn't. Second game it was roach for Stephano vs roach/hydra for NesTea but Stephano got roaches into the main which just put NesTea too far behind. Third they both went banelings and NesTea survived it better with some sick drone splitting. So no, not really. The thing is, NesTea's playing the full spectrum this tournament. Mind games, early aggression, macro.. I'm a mad crazy IdrA fan, but I wish he'd pick some of that up.

I'm not sure what I'd gain there, but whatever, this is the internet! There was a spinecrawler in the second game that didn't get up to answer your question. Stephano killed it before it got up. Oh the losing with a pointless all in Greg can skip please.
