I mean the way he sacks his overlords for vision... it seems like playing Protoss or Terran might satisfy his urges for perfect information more economically?? I always thought zerg was a poor choice for idra. The race requires a lot of aggression and an intimate sense of timing, which are not idras strong points. I think would be better off Terran because a defensive/economic style is very strong. Protoss would work too because he seems to prefer to attack with a mass ball. However, I highly doubt he will change races. He has been asked many times why he doesn't change races if he thinks zerg is weak. His response was that it would take too long to learn all the intricacies of a different race.

Otherwise vs T you don't want to be aggressive until hive tech due to the fact that you really can't push a sieged marine/tank army with muta/ling/bane or even roach/infestor honestly its just suicide. zvz is very aggressive but tvt is the same in sc2 unless I am mistaken (haven't seen a tvt in a long time no idea how its played now). I don't think he would enjoy protoss because the race doesn't require that much multi tasking compared to terran or zerg I think he has said that in the past and that is one of the reasons he didn't stay with protoss in beta.

I don't think terran is a very suitable race for Idra, it relies so much aggressive pushes and timings that can really backfire. Idras play seem to revolve around playing a more passive and "safe" game and just outmacroing his opponent, which isn't how terran players generally play this game. Also terran relies so much on micro, which I don't think is Idras strongest area (although zerg doesn't give much opportunity for it). I just don't see his style meshing well with the hyper-aggressive terran of SC2.

Honestly sc2 terran is a lot like bw terran in terms of aggressive tactics, micro, and multi tasking. I do think terran would fit Idra's playstyle but I also think zerg does to.

I'm no shrink but even in my own experience, playing zerg gives you this irrational inferiority complex. And in a way that pushes the player to try harder and makes winning all the more rewarding. I think IdrA has some of the same masochistic quality that makes Zerg the best race for him. :p
