On a serious note, code A or code S? if you watched his games vs Sen hes in a rather good shape. And hes still in code S. Just because its ones fanclubs doesnt mean you should talk sh!t aboput other players Uhm... IdrA did not even come close to Boxer at Broodwar... Towards the end, yes he did. In 2009, he was DEFINITELY close to BoxeR. Very possibly ahead of him.
I'm an IdrA fan too but you're dead wrong on this point. BoxeR was still even being sent out in Proleague matches in 2009, while IdrA never played a Proleague match in his whole career. I don't know how you could possibly make the argument that he was even or ahead of him. OK, he won a lot of foreign tournaments, which is awesome, but that doesn't really prove anything.

That's like telling Destiny or Artosis that they are the best ever or something. They each get respect in their own ways, and it's not because they are so good at SC2.
I see BoxeR isn't good at sc2. An code S noob you can say. Well, imo someone who was able to play BW at his level is definately able to do really good at sc2.

he didnt said he was close skillwise did he? Geographically perhaps?

I'm away for a day and this has become a place to bash BoxeR. I'm sad
To be honest how the hell does "IdrA fanclub" become "bash random players" club?

I can't decide if this was sarcasm or not...
+ Show Spoiler +Let me add that I'm not into this whole Boxer bashing thing. Really, just give the king what the king is due. He may not be the best SC2 player on the scene right now, but he's qualified for Code S on his own right which a lot of players are just dreaming about.
|
I don't think this qualifies as "bashing" at all, or even close to it. It's not like were saying "LAWL BOXER SO SHIT GTFO SCRUB" or something. + Show Spoiler + That would not only be wrong, but far from the truth.
As far as the BW talk is going, it's simply a comparisson, not even close to bashing either.

TvP and ZvP are completely different match ups. It doesn't matter if Boxer beat Avenge, the results are unpredictable unless you look at their match up histories and how they play on that day. And Boxer is better than Idra, you have to compare their peak skill. Did Idra get to Ro4 in GSL open season 2? Whats the best tourney Idra ever won? Whats boxers best tourney ever won? Idra has had better results in SC2 than Boxer, but Boxer has had better results than Idra in BW. Also, how many of you want to see an Idra vs Grubby Bo7? I would love to see it since Grubby has improved so much recently and beat Ret in the last 2 time he faced him recently. and Ret & Idra both love drones.

SKT went him out vs Yellow, who he beat. IdrA played vs By.Trap (an a teamer, as far as I know) and went 1 - 2. And BoxeR lost to White-Ra

What I meant was during the time that I have been stalking...erm...following this thread, there are times and time again that a "flavor of the week" player gets picked on in our fanclub for no particular reason. Most of the time someone just mentioned them in something that has little to nothing to do with IdrA and BAM, there it goes again.
+ Show Spoiler + Of course, when that player directly provokes IdrA, get called out by IdrA or has an upcoming match with IdrA, it's a whole different thing
Let's get back on track: I stalked IdrA's KR profile today, he's been losing a lot. Hopefully he's in the middle of trying something really interesting out
Also, Coca tweeted this

What could he mean by impractical? Any korean speakers have an idea?
|
if i had to guess i guess hes trying to say its ineffective practise
|
|
he might be trying to say it was impractable to prepare for so hard a group in so short a time, despite the long hours IdrA put in... dunno
|
Coca, all i want is for you to come give our IdrA a little practical practice <3
|
my life wont be complete untill he starts streaming again T_T
|
I am in no position to talk about Idra's practice efficiency but something I've noticed is how win or lose, he starts clicking on the search for game button like a mad man even before it's active. Of course, this is a very small and out of context thing to draw any conclusions but it leaves the impression of someone who thinks that sparing even a moment for retrospection after the game is completely pointless.
|
I do that too. All the time, whether I win or lose. Waiting just makes me worked up over how retarded my opponents are, and how I could possibly lose to a 1 base thor rush :3. Really though, there isn't really that much to check or ponder over, and in most cases it's pretty clear why he lost. Of course, I guess it would be a good hait to just speed through every replay and look for flaws and shit like that

BW has nothing to do with what he said.

coca~~~ the slayers are just a family.... even when greg is from EG he still feel for each other and anyone in the slayers house can probably feel it
Hope Coca gets back on track soon, IdrA still needs to learn his ZvP from a perfect record of Coca's On a sidenote, Yugioh's match is tomorrow, please don't fail or all 3 of my fav players will fall outta code S this season >
|
Might also be that they can't talk as much about the games as they would like to, given that CoCa isn't at the house. Thus making their training impractical. :3
