heres to idra. he just showed the god of zerg how the matchup is meant to be played. very unlucky in the last two games, in which i honestly feel he was the better player, but after a series like that, this mlg is looking very promising for the foreign zerg hope

I loved that series by IdrA. I can't believe that he actually was so close to beating the absolutely best ZvZ in the world, and as many others have said, he outclassed him hardcore in the third game. I cannot wait to see him back in GSL, and i'm confident he'll be getting amazing results in Code S in no time.

For Greg himself this won't mean anything, but for me as a fan, it is great to see him just barely lose to the best ZvZ player in the world... I mean: he was soooo damn close beating someone who is deemed almost unbeatable in that matchup and actually outplayed him in quite a few areas!

Greg is absolutely not far behind... and that is without training in Korea. He's gonna be sooo beastly...

Does anybody know if he will play in the MLG Pro Circuit finals later today?

I am not sure. I think he may play tomorrow rather than now due to being very far ahead in the bracket.

Quoting myself: The schedule for today says we'll be going up to Open Bracket Winners Round 3 or 4, whereas IdrA is in Round 4 of the Championship bracket. So he must be playing either very late tomorrow, or possibly even early on Sunday?

Getting fungaled on that ramp lost Idra the series. He had like 15 roaches fungaled and the units behind them were unable to attack.

So sad, Idra was in a dominant position game two, held off Nesteas attack perfectly, was ahead in economy, but then he lost it all when he attacked without infestors having a large amount of energy and then just letting them die.

Basically the same thing game three, Idra was ahead in supply basically the whole game, was ahead in expansions and drones, but then he had that horrible fungal on the ramp and he lost.

His Hive was barely finishing when the final attack happened.

Still very impressed he can go toe to toe with the best ZvZ record holder in the world and almost take him out and hasn't even returned yet to korea for higher level practice.

He played incredible against Nestea... so so so close. If that last attack by nestea had failed, Idra would've had the game.

Amazing play, he could very well have won that 2-0 if he hadn't over committed. One mistake and he ends up losing.

Still an amazing showing, might silence some critics. This is without practice on the Korean ladder, something IdrA himself says is essential.

ZvZ is still developing.
What we saw today was that NesTea understands it better than IdrA.
IdrA actually "outplayed" NesTea in multi-tasking terms but lost because he didn't get his tech fast enough.
Tech timings are THE most important thing in ZvZ right now. Whether it be upgrades or that crucial infestor timing.
In all the games NesTea got a much faster Lair.

I think you are reading too far into that last game, IdrA didn't have infestors too late he just was max supply and couldn't build them. On hindsight he had like 2k mins and like 500 gas, if he would've thrown up tons of spines and got infestors with the supply from that, the game would have been completely over. Also at the last engagement IdrA really screwed up his army spread. NesTea got very lucky with that attack timing, if they meet again I think IdrA will win.

Thank you very much!

So I won't feel bad when I turn off the stream soon and go to sleep..

IdrA probably more annoyed he lost now, it looks like MVP might get knocked out.

He probably feels he could beat naniwa for the 3k

Yeah, just get the infestors a little earlier than Idra did

Hydra Roach > Infestor Roach, from what i can see he had that game won, even without the infestors if he had of positions differently it wouldve been over, the roaches on the choke at the gold lost the game, if he had them infront of the hydras at the end instead of getting them fungelled to death for 0 damage he would've held relatively easily and up 2 bases
