I am so speechless. IdrA absolutely dominated Nestea in those games, lost just BARELY due to very tight engagements. Now do people understand why even MVP thinks IdrA is the best foreign zerg? Hell yes. IdrA is going to TEAR IT UP when he's going to Korea. Good Lord!

Nestea had better timings game 3. Game 2 Idra outplayed until he lost 3 infestors. Zvz is fickle that way, no shame in BARELY losing to the best Zerg vs Zerg in the world imo.

yeah, nestea really hit a PERFECT timing in game 3, if he waited another minute IdrA would have hive tech out.. GG nestea. Hope they meet again soon.

For Greg himself this won't mean anything, but for me as a fan, it is great to see him just barely lose to the best ZvZ player in the world... I mean: he was soooo damn close beating someone who is deemed almost unbeatable in that matchup and actually outplayed him in quite a few areas!

Greg is absolutely not far behind... and that is without training in Korea. He's gonna be sooo beastly...

Does anybody know if he will play in the MLG Pro Circuit finals later today?

Unlucky man Extremely well played, felt like you outplayed nestea most of the game. Just lost one engagement and that was it :/
The truth is, Yagami-kun, I suspect that you may in fact be Kira.

Wow great play IdrA! You came just short but you played amazingly in all 3 games. You are easily one the best players out there. Continue to play like this and win MLG.

only thing that kept NesTea in the game was teching, good play by both

Damn. Pretty close games. I feel like this really shows how IdrA's play level is at Code S Zerg level though.

Idra shows he is just as good as Nestea in ZvZ mechanically. Nestea just has slightly better understanding. An Idra in Kprea would know when to get infestor tech after securing a 4th base and all that. Hugely entertaining ZvZs and wp by Nestea, sick timing.

It amazes me how few people on tl understand ZvZ. They are just assuming Idra is bad, even though he showed remarkable play there.

I am not sure. I think he may play tomorrow rather than now due to being very far ahead in the bracket.

IdrA actually did the right thing. He splitted up his units but by that ramp is such a tricky place to engage and 1 group got fungaled and that were around 15-20 roaches. Sad sad game. But if we're realistic, IdrA played better. Especially game 3. Denying bases constantly and he was already going up to hive. Just that one engagement. Crap i feel so bad now

Mass bases doesn't really win ZvZ. Once you hit 72 drones it's all about either winning the fight or losing the fight in a position where you have time to remacro. Idra failed to do the latter

Still loved watching him get so close to winning. The future is bright

Yeah if idrA looks at this from the right perspective (That he's probably got one of the best ZvZ's in the world) he can go a loooong way!

idrA HWAITING!

Spinecrawler wall would be good in that situation, although setting it up is another story. Nevertheless it was a very good game from both players.

IdrA was kinda mad at himself, but he will probably learn a lot from that loss, im really impressed with his ZvZ level... maybe his infestor timing is a bit off tho.

hope he get his revenge one day, maybe in code S, he is really improving !!!!

It is tomorrow.

They have to play a ton of matches.

They have to go through the entire open bracket and decide the winners, and then take those top 4 through the Championship bracket where Idra is at the end.

ZvZ is still developing.
What we saw today was that NesTea understands it better than IdrA.
IdrA actually "outplayed" NesTea in multi-tasking terms but lost because he didn't get his tech fast enough.
Tech timings are THE most important thing in ZvZ right now. Whether it be upgrades or that crucial infestor timing.
In all the games NesTea got a much faster Lair.

Amazing games by IdrA, even if he lost. It was extremely tight, Nestea had a sliightly better timing and engagement in that last game. Hope he takes the best from these games and goes into the finals with confidence!
